Luxury (don't know what volume you want - sizing, temps dictates that - see their website and wildsnow article). Dreamliners are for easy to fit feet and designed to be used out of box without molding and have slightly softer fabric and foam for that reason; so they'll break down a bit easier

I just took a look and it is helpful. Thanks for the info. I'm just not as familiar with the new foam so I appreciate the second opinion. Squishier foam next to my foot doesn't sound like an improvement for me as that just results in tighter buckles and more painful feet.

From all those reason, the luxury sounds nicer, except the dreamliner seems more geared toward custom footbeds....

As someone who skis a lot I would tend to agree. I also think the squishier foam would break down a bit easier. But since I'm an easy to fit foot my opinion isn't all that useful for someone with difficult feet

I purchased 2 new pairs on intuition liners last year, the Power wraps (replacing a broken down liners I use at work) and a pair of the Pro tours which came in a new pair of Scarpa AT boots (comparable in thickness to the Luxury and Dreamliner, slightly thicker). I bought the Power-wraps to add some stiffness to older boots and hopefully have them last longer than 1/1.5 season. I got what I wanted, 3 weeks later, after wearing them ~10 hours a day 4-5 days a week I was still having to practically take them off. It literally felt like a vise on my foot which i know some people prefer, but not when I'm in them for prolonged periods.
In contrast, the pro tours were like slippers, my heel was still locked in but they moulded to my feet perfectly and comfortably. The foam was so much moldable to my foot and I have hi arches/wide foot, despite what you may call a squishier/softer foam i was amazing how well they held up having switched to use the Scarpa boot with the pro tour liner the last month of the season, leaving the Lange's with the power wrap liner behind almost everyday.
I will add that I moulded both liners myself at home which may account for some of the discomfort in the power-wraps, the Liner having foam 2x thicker and much more material b/c of the wrap, it was more difficult to shape. In contrast the touring liners were a breeze, like putting on a sock when i heated them.
Whether you choose the Dreamliner or Luxury it will be such a different boot and feel from what you are used to in Intuitions beefier race liner. And being 215lbs myself, they've held-up amazing well despite quite a bit of use and abuse.

I've posted this in messages to some people but would like to run it by folks here -- I know some of my questions have been covered.

I'm generally wondering about the difference between the dream liner and the luxury.

The luxury is meant to be heat molded, and has more foam in the sole, good for me since I don't have a custom foot bed, correct?

I have a dalbello shell 28.5 , (altho inside the tongue it says 28-29.5, which I don't get) the stock liner is 28.5 and is a little sloppy. Will the medium volume 29 luxury fill more of the shell and when molded give plenty of volume.

Any flaws in my reasoning here? Never had intuitions before and overall lack knowledge about boots.

Also how much difference is there between med. and high volume, I have a fairly narrow foot. The rampages are a 98 last

    -------------edit

Wow I just read Marshal's article, great as always, the HV dreamliner sounds perfect until I get a custom footbed, I can just put my current one in I guess

^^ there's also a wildsnow article about the Dreamliner in this thread. Controversial suggestion I know but you could try reading that too as well as marshal's excellent article.

Funny I never really thought of Wildsnow as being controversial.

No seriously, you've provided more great info there, a lot in the comments as well

I guess as far as choosing volume the boot's last doesnt matter much since the additional volume is taken up inside the liner

Read through this entire thread, so not planning to ask anything that has already been covered.

Any thoughts on which liner model to consider for the new Dynafit boot line (Vulcan/mercury/one)? It's my understanding that they have a similar lower shell size to the titan, but they are paired with a new upper shell design essentially from the TLT5 series. Because of this I think a tongue style liner will be important for tourability. The boots are quite stiff with the stock liner and plastic power tongue. The pro tours seem to be the choice with the sizing of liners dependent on shell fit. Being a 27.5 myself with a finger and a half I think the 28 pro tours will be the ticket. Planning to call crystal at intuition tomorrow, as well as going in to my local bootfitter. As these boots are brand new and most of the knowledge and best info on them has been here and at wildsnow, I thought I'd ask.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

So I received my dream liners -- thanks otto

I have two noob questions 1) the foam pads for taking up volume that are provided do they go between liner and boot, liner and foot bed, in place of foot bed? in the latter they don't grip and just slide forward

    2) I've never had a lace up liner nor really see the need, does everyone use them, they seem a hassle

For those that need more room in the forefoot but still want good heel hold and lower leg support, I just got a pair of the FX Race liners for my Cochise boots and they seem sweet. Will update after I mold them but these seem like great liners that should solve fit issues.

I Think that a lot of people already know Palau ski boot liners.
The company was behind the production of all Raichle company Thermoflex liners.
    Original quality, price, very lightweight
Personally it makes a lot of sense for my choice.
    Palau liners are recommended

I would like first to precise that all thermoflex liners from Raichle were made by Palau in the 90's. (not Intuition)
I advise people to think about Palau liners own range for bootfitting solutions.
Correct price and nice result in my fulltilts compare to the stock liner.

    Nothing against Intuition too ...
My intention was only to bring some correction to the several mistakes here concerning Palau. (In Intuition thread of course)

Kept my feet warm enough that I was able to keep my toes after a night by the river in Revelstoke. They are so responsive and comfortable in addition to being toe savers
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Nice! Missed a couple milestones. Still love them though.

3.5) Did the dog roll in something again, or do my boots smell a bit funky?
    4) Jeesum, I think its getting worse. Spray some Febreeze in boots.
4.125) , they still stink, I guess its time for new liners.

Good job! I was expecting some mag to put in some additional milestones!

Getting my HD Race liners (sz 27) molded into my Lange RX120''s (sz 26 shell) tonight with some shell work...I am beyond excited to finally be able to ski without my feet killing me and wrecking my day after just a few hours.

Will report back after, but the HD liner just trying it on in my shells is extremely tight...hoping for that thick ass foam to mold out and pack out to "perfect".

I think I have footbed issues, too so may just start over as I get cramping under my wide ass feet when using them.

I just got some Powerwrap Plugs in the mail, size 29 for my 28.5 shells, and there is a lot of room around my chicken legs in the cuff area (upper ankle and calf). I haven't molded them yet, and I'm wondering if I should swap for a higher volume liner or will they expand and form to my legs a bit? If I really crank down on the upper buckle I can get the liners decently tight, so it's not like there is a ton of room, but there is a bit more than with the stock liners. Seems like a recipe for shin bang issues.

New footbeds, molded liners, some big toe grinding and my Lange's feel better than they ever have. I think I may need to do a few tweaks, but I am liking this HD Race liner a LOT. Super easy to get into, fits me better than powerwraps, but is for sure beefier than the dreamliner/luxury.

Could have just found the best of both worlds!

They won't expand. I have a pair as well and I have normal sized shin/calf. I don't use them b/c of this issue in non-plug boots, and I have a <1 cm shell fit in my regular boot. IMO Intuition could even use a thicker material in these above the ankle--even in plugs. Unless you can find a sock with a thick upper that makes this work for you, I would return them for regular PW's.
