Skied my carbon georges a bunch in bounds last year (would've preferred to ski 'em more oob, but....), with barons and I love 'em. planning on getting another pair of carbon somethings this year and putting some dynafiddles on 'em, but we'll see...
I saw it. Nice fish. Finished a trail job in Shelburn last week and watch fish (trout and salmon, big ones) trying to jump the falls there on lunch break. Waiting for some higher water/warmer temps to head out and give it a run. I've caught some nice browns and huge smallies out of Lewis, but yet to catch a steelhead there.

I call bullshit just because I REALLY, REALLY want to believe that POW is Rog's alter ego.

Then again I also believe in Santa Claus, snow leopards and long walks on the beach.

Nice, I'm sure there are some monsters laying in hiding in there. And if the salmon run is anything like it was up north this year, that would be a hoot. Still bummed I struck out up there, but I guess that's what happens when you're fighting hot fish on tiny flies. So it goes, I'll be back next year for sure and then I'll catch my monster.
I'm a bit concerned about tomorrow with no new water in the system for a bit, but... whatcha gonna do. Might as well give 'er a shot. Plus, I'm still amazed by how spunky those lake fish are - the fight is amazing on my 5wt. I need more of that in my life. And pow too, but that will come in good time.

Actually, I think they're gonna make it out of pure gold. It'll be heavy as shit and have a wicked sense of entitlement.

I had one day on the Clyde this year. Landed a 20ish inch hen early then watched my partners hook up a few more times with one more landed. My Atlantic trip was rough. Worst salmon run anyone could ever remember. Four days of fishing and I finally got a roll on the last day and he missed my fly. Heart break. Some guys were heading up and catching fish that had been in the system for a while (half starved and black as your boot) but no bright fish were hooked in the time we were there. Thinking about alternatives for next fall if things are slow again for atlantics in the maritimes.

just to summarize, you're not as good a skier as you think you are, people dont like you as much as you think they do, and you're not as smart as you think you are. (oh, and you're definitely not funny. not even once).

DVT: Our skis are an all-wood core - ash and basswood stringers - wrapped in a composite torsion box. The carbon is part of the composite wrap.

As to the rumours...First, were we to develop a Steaux model, it would NOT be gold. That is so yesterday. No no, Tungsten, Platinum and moon rocks, or nothing. Also, it would have nano-bubbles of purified Himalayan air. What IS in the works, though, is a new model called The Pile, which uses a proprietary basalt and asbestos fibre construction particularly well suited to aerobic skiing. Asbestos....it's the new extreme.
