Congrats. Parenthood is awesome. And it does get better . . . when they start to ski!!! My 28 month old got his first day in yesterday. It was only in front of the house by the sidewalk, but he did slide down the "steeps" from the front yard area to the rock driveway.
mtb/b welcome to the sweet land of parenthood
sierra grace welcome to solid ground.

MBB - I have a kid's ski shape ready to roll. When I figure out how we can build it at a low enough cost, I know who my first tester will be... :-)
To those interested in the Magic, it will also be piloting our new dual-carbon layup. Our previous carbon builds used the carbon under the wood core. The new dual-carbon layup will have carbon both bottom and top- POP! Looking at a delivery around first week of January, due to the time required to build the mold.

Sounds like a sick design, and all the best to the Worth crew. Hope you guys have a successful season. I'm too broke right now to justify another pair of skis. Just mailed out property tax checks. Maybe in the new year.
Silent....but shredly.
We will start offering the dual-carbon as an upgrade option with the DB, HB and George as well going forward. I have had enough takers to go ahead with production on the Magic, it is officially a "go" !!!!! Not sure just yet if we will have a demo in this ski on this run, but w will post updates as things progress.

Where can I skin with my dog tomorrow?
So's teh POW's starting to fall? Or just his cover?
Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
Wait, not tryin to hate here, but you named a backcountry ski after a lift served ski area? Should it be called something that conjours up images of a more remote location?
Skinned Stowe today. Ouch. Shoulda rode the bike again, but it was nice to slide. I'd say let it snow, but with the warm up, I'm thinking steelhead for next week.
^^^^pretty awesome!
maybe i'll go start a TR about him in the padded room!

"Backcountry twin" is more a category, not a limitation. It generally refers to wider non-park twins, that are jib-friendly, but for natural terrain and features. And tossing carcasses off natural terrain features is, so I hear, occasionally commonplace at Magic. Besides, when we name a ski, it is generally inspired by a mountain and it's "soul", if you will. For example, when I ski my Humpbacks and Georges at the Snow Bowl...haven't yet had either on their namesake...they sure do a great job there.

Well it was a ski that was intended to be very playful, lively, agile and still stable at speed. It was designed for terrrain like Magic's, but competent touring ability was also an important characteristic to everyone giving input.
Also, Magic is pretty remote. Just try getting gas after 7pm if you don't believe me![]()
