    A little for your morning.

Northeast Kingdom Travel and Tourism Association is doing their annual online auction, whose proceeds will all be supporting Vermont's Northeast Kingdom Sustainable Tourism Program.

Worth has donated a $300 gift cert for a new pair of skis, and there's a lot of other cool stuff on there, ranging from bouncy balls (yea...) to dog sled rides. Even got some tix to $teaux, Jay and Burke. The auction closes Nov 15, so I'd suggest you go check it out.

First snowfall of the year in Coventry, CT. Super excited.

Someone a while back, possibly in the padded room, equated seeing the first snowfall of the year to feeling like a puppy. If anyone has or can find that quote, I'd much appreciate it.

Seeing reports of up to a foot in Southern CT. Anyone hitting up Mt. Southington or Powder Ridge for a few laps?

Hopefully this snow doesn't melt away during the day, and i can get some in turns in at the nature center near me. We got about 7" here between yesterday afternoon and the snow all night. It looks beautiful. So excited for winter to start.

Woke up to a solid 8" in my driveway this morn, few wind blown spots were maybe a foot. A lil on the heavy side, great for a base. Last night was a mess, seems our municipalities got caught with their pants down. I had some friends that didn't even make it home. So nice to see winter return, bring it on!

About 3" on the ground on the coast in SW CT. Spoke to someone who lives ~3 miles inland, and they had 6-7" on their deck this AM.

Supposed to reach the 60's this weekend, so the snow doesn't look like it's going to stick around this far south.

Any word on accumulation in SoVT?

Its going to melt every where. Only the McSnow will stick around if its lucky. Just when we started building a solid base we have to start all over. Good news is that the rest of November is looking cold and snowy.

Nice Fish Ak!!, although I said that before. Stoked to hunt some of those this weekend with you.

Just enough snow here to make my 5:45am trip to Meriden and back interesting, can't imagine they got all that much up there.

Going to either Okemo or Killy Saturday with the better half. Enochlophobia be damned!

then he goes on about how his new suby is getting 35.1 mph as he was driving south from east burke on 91.

I believe that Rog is invoking the "internet sarcasm" clause on this one because we all know that gpetrics is THE BEST SKIER ON THE MOUNTAIN. (insert winky here.)

I stand corrected now. Just cruised up to smuggs. It's snowing at a decent clip right now. It's accumulating. Not sure how much we will get.

Rum runner is top to bottom blown also which is nice.

on an interesting side note, this cover is one of the few photos i actually appear in. usually i'm just the photog-man, snowplowing and beatering down something to get the shot of the athlete.

totally, but be aware that 50+ degree slopes up there are steeper than our 50+ degree slopes. oh, and their snow is white as is ours, but theirs is more gnar white.

Bottle - If GP can get his pic on the cover of Ski VT (well done btw GP...and for the record, shouldn't it be VT Ski/Ride mag, just sayin', Jason you listening) I think we need to send some of your summer pics to BassMaster or In-Fisherman, at least one has to be good enough for a cover.

Congrats to all famous/worthy photogs in the ECRC.. Great stuff guys

Petrics, didn't you think about skiing the Jacques-Cartier river valley before? I've canoed it and it's hard to ignore what's all around, but I've never visited in winter. Looks like this year, it's "open".. whatever that means.. This is definitely fueled by the popularity of the chocs..

    sorry for the frenches:

    Parc Site sayssss

Near the Discovery and Visitors Centre on the west shore of Rivière Jacques-Cartier, you can now enjoy alpine touring, telemark, snowshoeing and snowboarding on a 100-hectare (1 km2) off-track skiing area with an elevation of 300 meters. The area is not patrolled and not suitable for beginners.

Access to these areas requires a long walk. The sector is not maintained or patrolled, but it is marked. This area is for experienced skiers. Exercise caution.
