I also have a foot that is numb and a stretching feeling in the arch of my foot that causes severe pain ,and it feels as if someone is blowing cold air on my toes even when they are warm ( doesn't feel like it but they are) I am hoping that this doesn't last to long it really sucks .My OS does not believe in PT so I don't know what to expect for when I go to my follow up on oct 17 . I am in a Zimmer and he want's my leg to stay straight he also wants me to be able to do 1000 leg lefts a day ,that has been quite the challenge but i keep doing more as each day goes on, I also move my ankle around all day long I am hoping that will help me in the long run, Is this going to be harder for me when it comes time to move my leg? I never got told anything .This forum has been quite the eye opening experience. The OS made it seem that after the 6-12 weeks I would be back to normal . This has been quite depressing as I have a 9 month old baby that I can't carry around(also had to be weaned while I was in the hospital for 2 weeks)

or play with my 4 other children the way I used to

. I have to keep telling my self that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am now suffering from insomnia which also sucks so all I think about is the numb foot any tips on trying to sleep? I haven't read has any one else been over weight when this injury happened ? will this make the healing process even longer ?
