Ninham. Half an hour by car.

One of my little local trail spots - can pedal here in about 20 minutes.

    Pussy path blocking.

Smoothness - a rarity around here.

A handful of Instagramers from last month's adventure in Fruita/Moab. TR coming one of these days. These for now:

This pic cracks me up. Noel Buckley of Knolly Bikes sitting behind his work of beauty. My buddy C taking a nice thorough look at the steed.

Tired and sore from riding/crossfit this week, so I took a lot of breaks on the home loop this morning and took a lot of pictures while I was at it.

    The road slog

    Lots of hospitals

    Up we go

Flowers were out in force today

    More up

    Creek crossing

They sanitized the one good rock garden on this trail. Bummer.

    Steep!

Nice view down what I just came up

    Nice view of the city

    More flowers

    The fucking death hill

    Ready for the down

    Lots of these

Another great city view at the bottom

    Looking back up

Shortcut through the cemetery to get home

    Epic morning ride complete

Nice how is that place? I have some friends who've looked into doing something like that in Utah, but real estate is just too cost prohibitive. Wonder how they pulled it off in Portland, I bet it's even more expensive up there?

I've been sucking at taking pics lately, mostly just iphone stuff. But some random dude was up taking photos at I Street a few weeks back and sent me these. Fun times.

Been slacking on my 1,000th post. Some love from Fruita/Moab a few weeks back, just in case anyone doesn't know what it looks like.

18 rd - the obligatory "this is where we're riding today? it's looks pretty okay, I guess" photo:

impending disaster - afterwards she said, "maybe I'll take it down a notch so I can survive the rest of the trip":

first bike trip with the DSLR and my favorite photo comes from the P&S. go figure:

mary's/horsethief - some guy saw us taking pics and told us not to post them all over the internet, as if the place is some kind of secret:

    klondike bluffs (moab):

this ride made me feel like a hero:

We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

While we're on the topic of Fruita/Moab, I'm just going to post 'em up here. No side TRs necessary.

I had the pleasure of going to my first Fruita Fat Tire Fest a few weeks ago. What a blast. Friendly folks, awesome riding. Hot Tomato Pizza is legit. MUST get back there soon.

    Here we go:

Heading up Moore Fun with Catch22 in tow:

    Still heading up Moore Fun:

Are we at the top yet?

    Yup. Let's head down:

Thanks dude. That trip is on my list for sure. Would love to come enjoy some of your Mexican comida. I was close to being out there last year for it, but timing didn't work out.

It's been quite awhile since I've spent much time on a bike but I decided this spring was the time to dust off the old hardtail and see what metro Boston has to offer. I went to Cutler Park in Needham for a 5 mile loop after work today and wasn't disappointed, plenty of well packed singletrack with a little of this thrown in just to class the joint up a bit..
