bubba had a history of being a bit edgy out there - good example here below......as long as he could contain his emotions on the course this masters win could open up the floodgates for him. no lessons, kills it, get the putter working and he could win many more.

Ben Crane and Ricky Fowler just seem like they're trying too hard but that shit is still funny as hell.

Wife was pretty stoked for him since she found out they had to adopt and we're pretty much in the same boat. She actually said "I might be able to watch golf now. I didn't know it was so exciting!"

I had to tell her that this kind of excitiment only happens about five times a year. Six when it's a Ryder Cup year. Shit, at least she has a "favorite" golfer now. That's a start.

EDIT: Bubba was one of my picks in the "Masters Pool" thread. With how he's been playing in the last few months, can anyone really be surprised he took it? That shot on 10 from the needles could be one of the greatest Masters shots ever. The fact we saw both a double eagle and that shot from the same pairing is unbelievable.

Played 25 holes today; first round in months. Struck the ball well but putted poorly as usual. 83 at Diablo Grande Legends from blue tees.
got a round in saturday, had to take two drops from the ball sitting in snow. First day out with the R9Supertri driver, awesome.

But holy hell, snap hooking a wedge, to 150 yards? That's some insane shizznit...

unreal golf on Sunday...a double eagle from 250? Bubba Watson with a huge slice out of the trees onto the green? Figjam tries to play a shot right handed deep in the bamboo? Just crazy good stuff.

The double eagle was the most amazing shot I've ever seen.

It was a hell of a shot, but off of a perfect lie to a target he could see and aim for. Bubba's blind snap hook [with a freakin wedge!] off the pine straw under pressure gets my vote as shot of the day.

That has to be one of the best shots in the history of the majors, not just the Masters.

i agree. to hit that shot from where he hit it with the green jacket on the line in sudden death -- having never won a major -- not to mention all those people in close and in front of him. i felt bad for oosthuizen. he was oh so close on both putts in the playoff.

Its definitely one of the biggest shots ever given the situation.

When you think of classic Masters shots you have to put it way up there. In no particular order

    Sarazen's Double Eagle
    Air Mickelson's putt in 04
Tigers Chip in on 16 in 05
Larry Mize's Chip in on 11 in 87
Ben Crenshaws Bomb on 10 in 84
Nicklaus' putt on 16 in '86
    Bubba's Hook on 10 in '12

Other's can add in what they want

Its kind of interesting how they are grouped together in recent years and the mid 80s.

i don't suppose any of you have hit out of a V of the gallery have you? 1) it always looks madly distracting and 2) i always think the first row of people are pretty brave even though these guys are the best in the world. nerves are strange. mishit = braining

edit: i guess standing in the gallery would be more likely, but i never know here.

Damn you guys shot me down quick. The thing about the double eagle was the immense distance and the fact it went in the hole. I wasn't aware Bubba had to hit a hook, it looked a little right to me but nothing drastic.

Tiger's shot was epic, but bogies on the next two holes could probably be attributed to the adrenaline of making it. Funny thing is, he probably would have won straight out (no playoff) had his chip not gone in.

I thought about this, but the fact that he missed the putt made me leave it off the list.
I also considered Shreks shot on two this year, but in the end I think it was a lot more luck than skill. Yes it was a fantastic shot, but really it lacked the creativity and back nine/playoff clutch factor that some of the other shots have. If he'd won, it'd probably make the list, but I don't think i'd put it as high as some of the other shots.
