If this is a JONG question, apologies in advance.

Leaving this Wed. afternoon to go ... somewhere! Either the San Juans (Silverton/maybe Purgatory) or Summit County (ABasin or Loveland or maybe Monarch). Possibly Crested Butte ... I can't decide.

Where do you think will get the heaviest snowfall?

almost 60 in Gypsum today and 50 in Edwards. Winds have calmed but the temps have soared. Sounds like most of the snow for EC will be during the day tomorrow. I hope everybody gets a good shot of snow with this storm.

Purgatory is absolutely useless. Just my opinion. Very little vert. If its a big day skiing there is like beating your head on a wall. Silverton is the ticket it has tonight, and the next two days to hoard snow.

opensnow is down at the moment (per facebook), aspenweather.net guys are calling for 9-12 at the aspen resorts through the end of tomorrow and 7-10 thursday thru noon friday. they have been very good so far this season. CAIC is typically pretty conservative and they are even more optimistic for tonight/tomorrow's event...

    (some content removed per request)

The warmth did more damage than the winds in the areas I frequent. Skiing got progressively worse through the weekend, but still was pretty decent on Sun.

The refresher storms are gonna be nice, and the warming has created a pretty nice hucking base and strengthened some pillows. Hopefully the even warmer temps today didnt screw that up. Stoked for Friday.

Lolo pass? Looks like it might be a guy I know as Toke (nonmag), especially if you mean LL pass.

I'm checking the copper snow stake cam. It's adding another half inch every time I refresh. Not bad since it read zero at 6 am. This afternoon will be fun.

Not snowing currently in West Vail and I can see the mountains near and above the resort clearly. Only 2 inches in my driveway, bummed was hoping for an excuse to ditch work, but it hasn't snowed that much at all, yet.

Yep, it snowed 5" in under 2 hours here in Breck. Looks like we've hit the lull that Joel was forecasting. Hoping it picks back up again.

3" at the summit as of 9am in steamboat. not snowing as of now, would be surprised if we got another inch or 2. caic predicting 6-9 and open reporting 4-7 today, believe it when i see it. (not taking shots at either weather forecasting site, i couldn't do any better at all myself)

the cold front hasn't passed yet and the winds haven't shifted. Just extra is what we got this morning. Still really warm out ...33 degrees when I left the house. Patience, the cold front will pass and the winds will shift and it'll get cranking again.
