Holy! Still some amazing lines in the KH slackcountry for those willing to put time in and poke around. Two of the most fun lines of the year this afternoon!
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

"He is god of snow; the one called Ullr. Son of Sif, step son of Thor. He is so fierce a bowman and ski-runner that none may contend! He is quite beautiful to look upon and has all the characteristics of a warrior. It is wise to invoke the name of Ullr in duels!"

yeah that would be me. I'm down for sure, hopefully my new skis come by then or else I'll have to pull out the old day wrekkers. Only problem is I don't have a car.

Sweet, nice work, it's so much fun with soft snow. Did you get in the Dive today and if so how was it? Also I heard it closed early due to a 'backcountry accident'. Any word on any incidents? Hope no-one's day took too big a turn for the worse.

Dive was good in spots, rock hard in spots. *$'s was shit, but once you dropped under the galaxies and got into hayes it was redeemed. I am jealous of you mntlion, I was watching for west to open up but ended up staying in the dive.

I gotta work tomorrow, but I, free on thursday for some LL or 93 action. Wouldnt mind tagging along with someone who knows their way around, havent been in those zones before. Maybe you could use a 3rd T2C/scott?

Yeah I'm up for a 3rd if T2C is. I'm always down to meet more people to ride with.

Hey, been watching your videos glad to see everyone's been making the best of the bluebird days! I've recovered pretty well and I'm lookin' forward to skiing all next week, should be epic. I'm thinking Roger's pass, a little LL are in order but I'm not totally sure where I'm gonna wind up yet- you guys up for some tours? I'll be ready for big days again, but I think I'm gonna stay away from that nasty Aemmer Couloir for a bit...

In other news, I sent my story to G3 and guess what? They are sending me a new binding for free!! I basically just explained the situation to them and that I can't afford to pay retail for bindings, and the guy said no problem, we'll send you a new binding! Talk about a company that stands behind their gear! Can't wait for it to come in the mail so I can mount up my new skis...

Did anyone else get thrown off by that little white section of tip on the dark ski? I kept thinking you had snapped your tip off.

    Anyway, nicely done!

I never noticed that, but now that I thought about it, it does sort of look broken. And thanks, making the best of shitty conditions.

Hey Calgary Mags - didn't want to start a new thread in techtalk, but need some local info....

I just installed some binding freedom inserts into my skis, but am having trouble sourcing stainless steel M5's around town. Has anybody found a local source for screws?

    thanks!

Find an actual industrial fastener place, not home hardware. Brafasco, maybe Acklands Grainger. Or online thru McMaster-Carr or something.

    Kia ora Banff/LL mags!
Will be in your area 5-7 March, and there's a good chance my wife will be skied out by then - but I probably won't ) Any good tips for a solo adventurer looking for a good day out? Scott Munro's video looked sweet; Just the sort of stuff I'm after, and makes me think LL is the place to go.
I'm not expecting you to give up your deepest, darkest secrets, but some general pointers would be much appreciated.
Btw, I won't have touring gear with me, so only lift/hike access.
Edit: AT gear no, transceiver/shovel/probe yes.

All that stuff was lift access and hikeable. the hike at the beginning was to the top of north cornice, also check out evelavtor shaft and stuff around there.
