Today was the first blech day of the season. Powder is finally tracked out everywhere and there was a freezing fog up high that coated the goggles in minutes.

Time for LaNina to kick in again.

If its no biggie maybe I will ski again cause I had such a great day at the Lake yesterday. Lots of groomers in the morn then some survival skiing of the back... beautiful day. Love that ski cross course. Super fun. Me being Captain Rad I decided against an inspection on the first run and missed half the transitions so my heels are a little sore today. Nailed it in the afternoon even busting out some old school tricks off the first two features.

(NSR THREAD DRIFT...)For the first time in years we are not stressing about not having awesome trained bike techs. Fully staffed with very knowledgeable people. No more 6-8 day wait times on majors. First time in years we will have mechanics from 8-10 everyday. I'm pretty happy to offer this to our riders.
Tell Jason to advertise on the UBI website and the BTAC site if he is a member. We have gotten some good international staff who wanted a Rocky Mountain vacation.

Good times yesterday... you and the Lady are fun to ski with. I'm a little sore this am from skiing all the "powder"...If I would just stay on the ground when conditions are that bad I would be better off...
Even with lousy snow a bluebird day in the Rockies is tough to beat.
Yeah, we had fun too. Just don't tell anybody I was on the groomers....

Well...I was going to come back Saturday, but the forecast isn't saying much and even if it pukes Friday night I can still ski the shit out of it all of next week Ullr has until Monday latest cause I won't be extending it passed that.

I've also started working toward the camp footage aswell.....

Yeah, but with the whole rents all uptight about going under the rope thing, I'm gonna let it sit for a while. Or maybe I'll get bored and just edit it and leave it private with link only, that way you guys can see it.

lol gotcha. I suppose after what you told me, I would be a little uptight about my kids too. Just wondering if there was anything worthy that made it onto film.

Nice vid. That line around 1 minute mark with the drop at the end looks like a lot of fun.

It's in the #86-88 area on the KH map in Feuz bowl. You traverse about half the ridge, and where you see evidence of people sidestepping up a bulge on the ridge, it's right after that. I hit it again today, the drop doesn't feel as nice with only 75mm underfoot. Still soft landing though, nobody has wrecked it.

2stix- working on the footage now. I'll say in advance that something funky was going on with my skis, so I blame my performance on that :P Got 'em tuned right after and skied some pretty ballsy shit on Tuesday

Anybody been to Rogers Pass lately? What's skiing good? Thinking of going tomorrow with some friends

I'm spending the season in Lake Louise and I'm looking for some people to ski with. I got my ast 1 at the start of the season and want to gain backcountry experience. I just need people to go out with. The occasional tour, slackcountry or even inbounds at Louise. I usually have Thursday Friday Saturdays off. If theres anyone who wants to shred let me know!

PM me, I have a Louise pass and wouldn't mind poking around the slack country there some more.

Perhaps there's a lost skier out there? That's a lot of gear to lose, forget, misplace.

Brutal, I spoke to some random via the MEC gearswap who took a "2500 foot tomahawk" down Aemmers last week, i'll see if it's theirs.

I'm the guy that fell down the Aemmer- this happened on Tuesday. The lost gear is all mine except the crampon, which belonged to my ski partner.
Did you find my ski as well? If you didn't pack stuff out I will go back and pick it up, still healing.
I'm the luckiest man in the world and I've made my peace with the gear but it sure would be nice to get it back.
Please contact me soon! Thanks to Kevin for alerting me of this posting.

Rockies roll call for the win again. I left an ice axe on Mt. Gordon last Nov. and had it back within 2 weeks through this thread.
