Its possible some of us might take offence to that. ^^^

After a full day of shredding the pioneer chair with the wife and kid, I got one late run up the gondi and made it up one of the last stairway chairs. Made it all the way to "60 percent" and it was 100% on for the last run of the day!

Sure glad last week did what it did for my eyes, almost can't believe I found what I found and the end of that kind of day. KH delivers once again.

ShortyJ, good seeing ya! Westslope, I saw you, but your butter smooth and too fast for me to get your attention!
    Man, It was great...

Pretty quit weekend at Fernie, it sounds like everyone was at LL/Sunshine/Kicking Horse. Saturday the skiing was nice, I didn't find much for untracked, but everything was nice and soft. 13cm fell overnight on Saturday, however it was raining on the lower half of the mountain today (big surprise I know), however the skiing still was decent. 15-20cm was forecasted for Sunday, it's currently raining in town, Monday could be a good day higher up.

@time2climb - my current home is wherever I park my van so that's easy enough, but I don't have a kicking horse pass (I was supposed to be out for most of the season with a shoulder injury, but I healed quickly). I am trying to confirm if they are offering a spring pass or not, if they don't then a seasons pass is probably in order (which is lame because I refunded my early bird pass anticipating buying a spring pass, but now RCR is messing everything up - stupid RCR)

If you can work around the lack of a pass, I would still be stoked for a tour any day from Tuesday on next week... Maybe with Lamothe??

I'll pm you my cell number

KH was fun. Line-ups weren't bad, you just had to find a buddy/local right near the corral to join up with. Stuff was getting skied out in record time. By 2pm stashes that used to last for days were getting gorbied. Although somebody left that rad pillow line in the Coffin Trees for me. Thanks.

Is that the one just under the bear enclosure that you have to hike for? I was salivating at that too, but I'm not nearly good enough to do it justice (or to not eat wood).

lol...pretty typical attitude of transplants out to prove how core local they are. The amount of times he brings up the local / punter Calgarian thing is a dead giveaway.

Fernie is reporting 39cm at elevations. This morning should be interesting assuming anything is open.

Had a fun day on Saturday at Marmot, given no fresh over night I was surprised by the amout of fresh in the Eagles, and that the majority of (smallish) rock drops that would have been in play the day the snow fell were unskied. I'm sure sunday would have been good but the prospect of a full days skiing on 4 hrs of sleep follewed by a shitty 5 hr drive home made pussying out easy.
I don't work and I don't save, desperate women pay my way.

KH was tricksie today, they said 3cm on the site, but on the gondy board (and in reality) it said 10cm. Afternoon shift on Whitewall was great!

So I just happened to see the December issue of Skiing (no I didn't buy it, a guest left it here) and I found the cover pretty hillarious.

In big lettering is "The Adventure Issue; 27 Perfect ways to get lost"

Literally right underneath in smaller letters advertising another article: "Kicking Horse, B.C."

Not sure if the irony was intended or not... If only there had also been an article on how to fend off wolves too...

The snow in Whitefish was wet but cold last weekend, nice to not be skiing windcrust all day.

Going to be out at SSV tomorrow. Anyone been through the Dive yet? Hayes Hill has been tempting me...

Were you the guy who went by me in Coffin Trees at like 3pm? I was calling for help and you ripped by me going `these are some awesome turns man!`hahah.
I was hanging by one ski that was suspended between two trees, and after I popped it I spent almost an hour climbing 30ft back to my ski. Funny part is I bailed right after yelling at my friend `I think this is no-fall territory dude` hahaha that what I get for being a jong. good times the run out was still fun and this weekend has been sick.

No coffin trees are at the end of redemption ridge dropping late into Feuz bowl. You come out basically right above G7 corner. I have to say those trees are steep as fuck at the top and still pretty tight. But the zone was still pretty fresh at the end of the day unlike everything else I skied yesterday. So I found my first pow stash - I`m pretty much the most local one in here.

On another note - If anyone in Golden is down to hit a booter tomorrow give me a shout. It`s 25-40 foot and in the pow fields below super.

That's called Break Your Leg and is super fun in the right conditions, which it nearly is. The exit it tricky though....
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

I hit the open part directly below the gondy a couple times last year, that's not the line, right? Because if I can do it, it's not that gnar. I noticed another tight straight line thru the trees that goes more towards catamount way than the open bit, looks like the same stating point. That looks pretty bawss.

Dude, I packed down 3 dozen of those dragon wings at Smittys on the way back from Rogers. Metabolism, man. May it never leave me.

Unless you're kidding, in which case I am very tall and very cheap, too cheap to buy stuff that actually comes in "tall", so I'm usually swimming in fabric to get the length I need. I rock 32x36 jeans, when I can actually find them.

The whole thing is Break Your Leg. I usually angle towards Catamount in those trees, but if you go too far there are some shitty flat landing cliffs towards Catamount.
