I love his little tri-dork panic sounds. Almost guarantee he still doesn't get how many things he was doing wrong at that moment to earn a facefull of gravel.

Anybody else notice that a GoPro is the new gaper accessory? So many people filming themselves pick their way down the groomers...

I recently saw a guy that was wearing his backwards. I wanted to give the GoPro the finger but his buddy would have seen me.

I also recently rode a chair (Thunder-JHMR) with a girl that asked me, "is this the lift that takes you to the bottom?"

Saw a skiier (friend of mine actually, and a pretty good skiier) try to get off the lift the other day. The problem was, he forgot he had wedged his poles in between his legs and under the back of the chair, so when he tried to get off he ended up hanging in the air with his balls being crushed by the poles. They had to stop the lift for him, and the poles finally bent at a 45 degree angle, dropping my buddy in a nice pile in front of everyone.

I went to the bathroom at whistler. At the urinal next to me the gaper with gopro on his helmet had forgotten to either take his helmet off or switch the camera off, whilst he was looking down proudly looking at his pee. That is one high resolution video I would not want to watch!

Couldn't agree more. Each time I see one i am very tempted to go ask them what kind of "rad shit" they have been skiing that necessitates a gopro.

I dont see the problem with having a gopro ...If they are stoked then its a good thing.

Waiting on line last weekend, two boarders behind me:

Boarder1: Yeah, Ive been working on sizing down since early last season...

Boarder2: yeah me too....where you at?

Boarder1: well I started last seson as a 10.5-11, got down to a 10 by the end of the season...

Boarder2: cool...I cant wait to size down to a 9 this season so I can get into a medium binding...

Boarder1: yeah....I should be a 9-9.5 by the end of the season...

    Boarder2: excellent.

    Boarder1: yeah.

Now if I had a gopro I could have caught the whole thing....

A fun day yesterday at Alpine Meadows skiing the 2 intermediate groomers they had open.
A girl at the base had her long hair stuck between and around the bindings of the skis she was carrying. (She said she usually snowboards.)
Guy on the lift in front of me wearing a shovel and skiing spatulas--in fairness I'm going to assume he was making an ironical statement--an excellent statement at that.

At my local mountain today for opening day, one lift open and two trails, a green circle and a black diamond. Both man made snow and groomed.

NYC guy at the top of the black diamond wearing some sweet new rentals and a contour HD on his helmet timidly says to his buddy "Whoa, This is insane. You wanna go first?"

It is pretty funny how he says "shit or get off the pot" a full minute before he does anything.

Group of a certain ethnicity at Sierra yesterday. "We tried to ski at Heavenly yesterday, but couldn't find it." I'm not positive but they may have been looking in Reno.

We could probably make an entire thread out of gaper crap that people on Gapic post. But this one made me laugh. The best was when the guy got all butthurt when people made fun of him.

    What is the best setup?
Also, does anyone know if original Solomon Snowblades had extruded or sintered bases?
