Ya but what if you have to jump a dead ibex on the track.

That was sweet....blows away a rollercoater. Prolly could not build that in the US liability wise. ^^^^ I was thinking the same thing...hitting an Ibex or a dairy cow would be epic.

Here's an embedded version of the video Turx posted. Just saving you a click.

As for new picture biz, just uncheck the box on the dialog that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" and it will post like always.

I think the tail shaft gets torqued off by the sudden jam? the thing just falls apart!

That qualifies as a bad beat.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

Man check out the difference from 3:36 to 3:37. A lot can happen in a second. Wait it's slo-mo. 3 seconds, maybe?

i don't think it's slow motion. and the rope does disappear, tilt your LCD screen upwards for better contrast and you can see it. the tail gets almost a clean cut (i believe from the rope) and the rope is behind the heli when the crash is shown up close (1:10)...

of course, whoever is investigating will be able to draw much clearer conclusions. i'm just suppositioning.

Next time you're on a flight and you think "that was a hard landing" think again.
