    I was there watching my little brother compete (Blue lycra/Dayglo yellow helmet). The Euros didn't show up the next day for the CanAm Challange. 80+ MPH into an ice wall with lycra for padding. Not so bad? Watch the end as they try to stand up after the finish.

    Skeleton World Cup at LP. Through technique and technology, the Euros had figured out ways to go faster at the time and were kicking our ass. They paid a price for the podium at that venue. Even the US team could only take a few practice runs a week so as to heal. Strategic foot dragging was part of the learning curve at that track.
