Hell yes. I really, really need to hit that this year. The access issues, as you mention, are tricky though.

Sierra at Tahoe is probably a more realistic fit for Vail to acquire than Kirkwood...

Hear hear for the snowshed on 88/Carson Spur! Sorry, SLT folks, but I just want to mellow out and having to gap it over the road is getting old.

I remember that one and think about it every damn time I drive up the Spur side up to Kirkwood. Build a town on the shores of Silver Lake, have the tram land on Main street, ability to ski all the terrain down to the lake behind Thunder Peak, and of course, eliminate the Spur on storm days....yummy.

Anyone have any suggestions for where to buy a never-frozen turkey in North Lake? Am I just going to need to bring one uphill from Whole Paycheck or something?

QFT. The California Zephyr is scheduled at precisely the wrong time for skiers. It leaves Emeryville to go east a little after 9am, and leaves Truckee to go west shortly before 10. You lose a day on either side.

No special lingo. I'll swing by there this weekend to see if I can reserve one.

That would have been great bullshit Cohee promotion to go with the Palisades and Caples Crest lifts that bnever got built, along with the restaurant on Vista that never got built but sold all those condos with For Sale signs in them now. But in reality, it would fucking RAWK!

FYI: Sweetgrass' Solitaire is playing in Truckee on the 17th.

    This film is sick.

Best snowsports flick I've seen since Deeper.

Caught it last night in SF with Schralph, MapleLeafG, CaliKid, Enginerd and an almost-sold out crowd. It features some of the most bugged out terrain you will see folks skiing/riding in a ski flick and has a really interesting and darkly metaphysical vibe percolating around some of the best cinematography I've ever seen in a ski/board flick.

Check it if you can: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=120955308013727

The Palisades lift...never had high hopes since that area gets so much sun, but then again....

Maybe we should just occupy the Cirque until we have a Marte-like chair up Carnell's?
