"grand prix, the killer years" is a great documentary.
Spooky. Comas nearly had a crash at the scene of Senna's death a few years later. Missed the red flag and nearly crashed into the rescuers.
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

"He is god of snow; the one called Ullr. Son of Sif, step son of Thor. He is so fierce a bowman and ski-runner that none may contend! He is quite beautiful to look upon and has all the characteristics of a warrior. It is wise to invoke the name of Ullr in duels!"

In other news, my wife received the following from Google Voice as a transcript from a client's call earlier today:

Hello, My name is a government ass and I'm going to the invasion, possums and I don't want to see if I can have a compensation, base with you. To, see what the what we could be on my case. Please give me a call 5 to, 05458969. And my name is a couple of minutes. Thank you very much, bye.

"grand prix, the killer years" is a great documentary, available on youtube.
Christ the extinguisher didn't do a thing. What did they fill them with back then, alcohol based shaving cream? Pretty crazy running across a smoke filled race track with cars still racing. In the first one both the driver and his car around the 'blind' corner were obscured by smoke. Emergency services and fuel control in cars are much better now hopefully.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

^ 26 seconds into the same clip you can jackie oliver's car go up in flames. as far as i know they used crazy fuel mixtures back in the day before being regulated. in the 70s they were regulated on octane, but now they use pretty much standard gasoline you can buy at a gas station, elbeit tightly controlled mixture.

in part 3 of the same documentary you can see how a magnesium-body car goes up in flames. magnesium is implicated in the largest car-racing death where close to 100 people died at le mans.

In most cases, if the other racers came roaring in to help, they'd do little more than block the rescue crews from getting in and doing what they are experts in. Racers are counseled not to stop to lend assistance.

In the bike vid above, I'd have been just happy I dodged that cartwheeling mess.

The lack of fiery crashes these days is due to the self sealing fuel tanks more than type of fuel.

Really what? You like tattooed kids with huge ear piercings?

I'd kick that dad in the nuts so hard that would be his last kid.

Hope you're right, but that's a helluva PS job on the ears then... I've seen quite a few tourist kids with tattoos/piercings walking around DC lately.
