I really should say thanks to all who commented here, where the hell are my manners? Sheesh. I get so sidetracked sometimes that I forget what my momma taught me.....

So, to all those who had something to say.... THANKS, much appreciated!!

Missed work Tuesday, shit I was sick, I mean I was really sick. Nothing that a little Blue Sky and Sunshine couldn't cure.

    Tate doing his thing....

What looks like a dirty lens is actually all the tiny snow particles that I kicked up when I stopped to snap a shot....I think it turned out ok.

This was the best morning I have had at work in a while...great way to spend a couple of hours(not that the boss would agree). Living in Colorado for 8 years I finally made it up to the Tetons/Tobacco Roots a couple of weeks ago and your pictures only reafirm my feelings of getting back up there ASAP. Amazing part of the world and your pics show it off nicely. I feel the same way about just getting out for a long walk...always revives the soul! Thanks man!

    July...so far...

Last week we had a sunset of note.... taken from my daughters place just up the road a bit.

    Moonrise on the same evening....

    Then there was this....last weekend.

Some of the guys at work had seen some of my photos, I do a bit for the company here and there. "I have always wanted to do something like that" they said. So I said "OK let's go". Caught them off guard, and unsure how to respond. (I am sure they thought theirs was a benign statement, never thinking I would actually invite them.) "Sure...uhhh ...when?" "This weekend. 6am Saturday morning. I'll drive"

Saturday morning, true to their word, they unloaded 30 year old equipment and piled in my outfit, excited and nervous. I mentally noted the Levi's and heavy awkward equipment.... hoo boy... but I kept thoughts to myself and away we went. Now I understand the need and prudence to acquire proper goods for trip to the bc, but the day was warm, the sky blue, the destination tame-ish (for this time of year), and thought here was one of those lessons that will teach these guys.... in a way that would encourage rather than dampen their spirit. Well after much fun and excitement, we talked about the problems of cotton, the need to learn about what works and what doesn't. They saw and admired my outdoor goodies, and perhaps made mental notes about future trips. It was all good. Heck, they may even come over to the dark side and learn to snowboard, seeing certain advantages (in this instance).

Several days later and they are still talking about it!

This is wonderful country with areas that see little to no traffic. I wake each day with something to look forward to, summer or winter, though I prefer winter...(and who here doesn't?). Without that, life would suck. A Big One.

You ever eat at Tams in Rigby? Use to love that place but I hear it has gotten so-so. Also, Gatorjacks? Overpriced goodness.

Tams...nope, though I know the owners.... Gaterjacks? Again no, but I seldom eat out.... I find restaurant food expensive, and I need that money for my trips to the mountains ...

I have moved to my summer bedroom, the backyard trampoline, for unsurpassed sleeping accommodations. Thick foam pads (yes, the same ones that spent six months under a snow drift in the mountains) make for absolutely amazing comfort, along with oversize cotton sleeping bags, big soft pillows....ahhh..

The nighttime view, well... it changes from night to night, sometimes it's light fluffy wisps of cloud, sometimes it is brilliant clear sky with a million stars (it seems) sparkling, and the Milky Way blazing across the sky. wOw

Gotta tell you that sleeping indoors sucks in comparison. My son's girl friend - "How old are you?" Old enough to not give a shit what anybody thinks ;-).

The thin clouds were a light pink and the moon was brilliantly sharp this morning!

    Have a Nice Day!
