Today someone on this forum chases his tail, running around in circles, trying to test a third beacon by finding mine, only to realize, after he declares the beacon is fucked, he has his on.

    Bueller ???

SO just a few days ago I'm posting in here about my buddies first day in the slackcountry and all his mistakes.
specificly his having a snowshoe fall off his pack ...

So wot happened to me today ???
    Bueller???
    Bueller???

Both shoes and poles somehow fall off my pack.
I just felt a touch on my leg and realize everything is gone.
I hike back up, and I mean up, and find one shoe and 2 poles, but try as I might, and continue up a bit, one shoe only is the call.
and I forgot my cell fone, thus Huckin eh is wondering wot the fark happened to me thru-out this shit show.
and with all this snow puking hard tonite, I'm hopeing huckin eh will find it in, about july.

I am the biggest loser on this site !!!

    Freezing Point?

The KRON Ch4 weather guy this morning, doing the 3-day Tahoe forecast:
"On Sunday it's going to be 51, and snowing. Great for you skiers. Now over to our Snowbomb ski report"
So, being ignorant of the freezing point of water is no bar to a career in Meteorology, it seems

Took pops skiing at homewood today. While waiting in line This old dude had and older single fat ski (maybe a rossi axiom?) with the type of binding most snow blades have mounted with a tele binding right behind that. He clicked in the blade binder with one foot and got on the lift and rode away. Am I a gaper for not having the slightest clue why he had a single ski mounted with 2 different binding and how the hell he was going to use it?

Dude probably used to rip so hard Mcconkey style back in his day, he got bored and invented his own twisted version, just to make it interesting. Yes, making you the gaper.

I've actually seen someone doing this too. The tele binding in the rear lets you take a stance similar to a waterskier on a single ski.

Sounds like a tele board and it is as crazy looking as it sounds.

Saw a guy who couldn't get his bindings to release. He unbuckled his boots, stepped out of them, left them attached to the skis, and walked to the bar in his socks. I guess he really needed a shot and a beer.

talking to an older dude at sports den about how my new lifes are sketchy in crud.

me: yeah, they're not fun in crud, they can get super hooky. I'm going to look for another ski for mixed conditions next season.

him: yeah, you should probably try a real company.

yeah brah, surface is a myth.

I was skiing at Meadows on Saturday and some woman asked me if Cascade was running, despite the fact that you could see the lift from where we were standing and there were no chairs on the line.

I also saw three separate people manage to lose a ski while in the air on chairlifts. It's a wonder no one took a ski to the head.
