I will have class all morning.

BTW, Raputin, I think I looked up right at you the other day, like a week ago. You were on the lift, I was shredding pow. Well I stopped to catch my breath. [/creepy]

There are 4 or 5 inches on the Stuart Peak Snotel, already, and the water content looks normal to low.
    Who wants to play?

    I agree.

99" of snow at Stuart Peak Snotel, maybe the Bowl isn't lying with their 101" base claim.

Fantastic day. My legs feel like lead right now. Not quite as good as last saturday, but still great. Rosebud delivered the goods.

I think it's just total depth. Then I guess you could just debate about where "settled base" starts or what you count as base or whatever.

When is someone gonna ski with me? I'm fun in real life.

So needy it makes me cringe.

If you want to ski with people, go skiing and ride the chair with people.

10 below zero at the base this morning scared off most of the people or at least made them move slower. A few us sampled the calm subzero goodness behind the bowl today. Sorry Burgandy is all shredded.

Oh relax - I'm sure he knows what it's like to ski powder whenever it's around

as for the bowl today, it was a lot different than sunday - not bad, consistently variable, wet to cold and snowing, but not as blower as last time up, still kinda deep in the meadows and longhorn held some of the best grooming of the season . . . .

Enjoy the weekend maggots, I'm out for spokane to check out some Memphis Tigers!

you relax. I've met tone a few times IRL.
How was it today? I didn't really feel well, so I didn't go. I figure it'll be better tomorrow. Plus I picked up some Sidestashes to demo for free from Bob Ward's. The only Olympus Mons they had was a 176. WTF?!

MT, shoot me a pm if you're gonna be up there with a camera

It was absolutely fuckin' bomber. Heavy, wet snow reset the whole mountain, and it was skiing soft, top to bottom. Ho hum, yet another day of hero snow that many people missed because they thought it wouldn't be any good. That has become a theme this season, and to tell the truth I've been fooled by discouraging expectations some days, but I've found out the err of such thoughts, because I go skiing regardless of what I think it will be like.

Go ahead and keep listening to your gut, especially when it tells you to stay home.

exactly. The number of sleeper days at snowbowl was off the charts through the end of january, when i left. Was a little tough to leave this year, but alta doesn't exactly suck ballz either.

Enjoy the rest of ya'll's winter up there. Cheers.

The humidity in yer vag? Sorry couldn't resist.

Just remember that creamy snow is hero snow and endorphins and adrenaline are great painkillers homie.

    My vag hurts.
Creamy is not the same thing as manky.
Today was ok. I actually saw the sun and skied at Snowbowl at the same time.
I picked up some Sidestashes to demo in a 181 and almost blew my knee. Fucking markers.
PSA: Great ski. Scary fast. Need to be mounted rearward of the recommended line or you won't even be able to slide through bumps. I'll type up a review later.

There hasn't been any manky snow here for a while.

Junior, you should be glad you haven't been seeing much of the sun this winter, the dreaded orb in the sky is the worst enemy of snow quality, especially with the Bowl's southern exposure. We have yet to encounter the frozen hell of glaze ice and chicken heads that The Bowl becomes the morning after too much sunlight hits it.

Today was a sweet day of high speed bombing, on an edge-friendly bombproof base, which was perfectly primed for the onset of the storm that's dumping whiteness on our fair land.

Tomorrow is highly recommended for those who aren't trapped by their lesser occupations. I hope to see very few of you tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong, I love storm skiing. I like it better than Bluebird. I guess Bluebird is better for side country. Is Point 6 in bounds now? There was a conga line going up there.

I will be trapped my lesser occupations all morning. Oh well. 3hrs of powder is better than 0hrs. Yes, I ACTUALLY have to go to class. i think. I might get out early. And my knee hurts.

4" as of an hour ago, straight nukin' in town. NOAA says 10-15" during the day at 5400'.

Have fun up there people, I will think of you while I sit in class.
