    AK in Feb! WHOOT

Soooo, I'm heading to Anchorage for 5 days in mid-February--just bought my tix today. What should I do (skiing-wise) while I'm there? Would love to put a couple days in at Alyeska, and was thinking about trying to hook up a day of cat skiing...

Ideas? Locals? I won't really have anyone to tour with so that's probably out. My wife is doing a med school rotation at the hospital for the whole month, so I won't have all 5 days to ski but certainly 2-3-4.
    Thanks!

Why don't you ski for the whole month? You can work via the internet. They have that on computers now.

I would not cat-ski Hatcher Pass. Hope Turnagain is deep. Get directions to Tin Can. Plenty of locals usually heading up there on a nice backcountry day. Just park and join some of them for a skin. Ski Aly and Cat with CPG if you're gonna spend the money. Hatcher is a place to go if everything else sucks due to early season or warm conditions. Other than that, Hatcher blows compared to Turnagain. PM me if you want/need more info.
