The first Tron Legacy trailer they ran many months ago with Jeff Bridges in it was awesome. Totally got me stoked for the film.

The latest Tron Legacy trailer that they've been running in 3-D in the theaters (in front of movies like Resident Evil) isn't instilling a lot of confidence (they reveal more of the story, which doesn't seem that great to me...then again it is just a trailer)...

I'll still go see it, no doubt, but now I'm having doubts about how dope it will actually be.

Also haven't read if it was filmed in 3-D or if they rendered it in 3-D in post-production (if they opted for the latter, it won't look as good as Avatar or Resident Evil, both of which were filmed entirely in 3-D from the start).

I missed Avatar in 3D first time around and caught the re-release in IMAX 3D recently. Saw the IMAX 3D trailer for TRON Legacy, and it was amazing. I will be in line, IMAX 3D, and story be damned, it will be sick!!

And Olivia Wilde is slightly hot.

did you all forget that the original Tron didnt exactly wow plot/story wise? It was all about the revolutionary CGI and the digital world. Im not expecting an incredible storyline; i want lightcycles, digital worlds, crazy battles and other amazing visual aspects all to an impressive Daft Punk soundtrack. If i get that, i will be satisfied.

i wondered the same and checked; it was shot entirely in 3D from the beginning.

Haven't seen the new trailers, but I've been listening to the soundtrack non-stop for a couple of weeks. Not what I'd expect from Daft Punk, but if the movie is as intense as the soundtrack it should be good. Very Nolan-esque. Not much digital despite being a Daft Punk product.

i checked out the soundtrack this past weekend and I have to agree. Not what i expected from Daft Punk, but perfect for what this movie should be. I just hope that Daft Punk will start to tour again sometime soon.

Saw it last night and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not ground breaking cinema by any means, but a fun watch. The soundtrack and visuals are awesome.

agreed, good movie but felt it could have been better. Definitely worth watching if you we're a fan of the original Tron.

I saw it this weekend and was not impressed. As advanced as the CG for Clu were supposed to be I still found myself distracted by how it didn't seem real. The story was not that great for me and I thought Olivia Wilde took a back seat to the other hottie, Gem (Beau Garrett). The action sequences were underwhelming. I did like how Bridges kept up with the Dude type language because it helped the idea that he was trapped in the digital world for a long time.

saw it last night and was unimpressed. I thought if they were making a TRON movie they were going to raise the bar with style and 3D fx and rad editing. The 3D was average at best and the story had way too many plotholes for me to get into it. The original TRON was a groundbreaking film in digital FX and I was expecting an immersive experience like avatar and then some. I think i would have enjoyed this film far more in 2D. On the other hand the women in the film are the hottest onscreen I have seen in a long time, so its got that going for it.

According to my 10yo daughter it was "the greatest movie I've ever seen."

I thought it was fun, but then again I wasn't expecting much. Oh, and Olivia Wilde is fucking gorgeous...

Tron: Legacy is amongst the most graphically stunning movie and is beautiful to see. I have seen this movie, and I think that the stunt work and action sequences in this Tron sequel are some of the best of the year. It is one of those rare movies that manages to do justice to its source material without being a slave to it.
