I can't say much for his leg, but he's definitely still got the piss and vinegar. A couple buddies got harassed by him trying to access the mountain yesterday. Not the first time I've heard of it and won't be the last. Trying to deny the public access to the FS land, weak sauce and bad form. Par for the course at Snowbowl. I'll be back in a week ready to shred, thanks for packing it out for me.

Actually, I expect Pat always wanted it that way, but the patrol isn't his charge. The prevailing assumption among my cronies, is that the patrol hasn't done it before because Brad didn't want to pay them for a day that tickets weren't being sold.

Last I saw Pat he was still in a wheelchair, but he was transferring to his four wheeler so he could putt around and oversee things. He was recovering faster than anyone would have expected, but it's been three weeks since I've seen him. He'll be on his snowmobile soon if he hasn't been already. He's too ornery to keep down for long.

Heh, heh, Pat is made of piss and vinegar.

I understand your point, but I also understand Pat's side too. Snowbowl owns the land that people travel across to get to the snow that Snowbowl wants to sell access to. I think they like it pristine at the beginning for their customers. Pat has no problem with post season hikers, it's just the ones that go to take for free what Snowbowl wants to provide their customers at the beginning of the season.

Of course, this is combined with fierce territoriality.

    Say what?

Spill it. On the webcam, it looks like they groomed the bowl outrun.

The Bowl opens today; I talked to a couple trollers at the bar last night, they were up all day yesterday, they rated it fully Spat worthy.

It's on folks. See you up there.

That was just stupid fun, while it lasted. Any word on whether they got the griz lift fixed? Will it run tomorrow?

Griz ran again, loading every other chair.

Today did not suck. Best opener in many years.

Heh, Griz must have shut down after I left for work. I was on the second chair this year, even though I rolled into the lot at ~ 7:30 or so.

Best opener since I've been skiing The Bowl. It was crazy awesome. A sign of things to come methinks.

see you boys up there very shortly.

stuck - i've got some demos, but no beaters and none are mounted with touring bindings. i'll let you take them for a spin though.

Yes, I am hoping all the student passholders are too busy with school. Like me. Because no good student would skip the last day of a class. That would be totally dumb.

Yes kids, do as RootSkier suggests, go to class, and then go home and study, all weekend would be wise, there will be plenty of ski days, but doing well in school is what really matters.
