Any way to get a different pain killer? Vicotin, Oxycotin, Codeine, etc? I know some people are allergic or just can't stomach it (I think Huckwheat or Basom said they puked from it). I would talk to the doc if it doesn't get any better by tomorrow. If they give you shit, give me a call, I have Vics for ya.

i tried eating a meal. thats what i threw up. just crackers and gatorade seems to help. i have vicadin as well, they told me to use that once the pain eases as it;s not as strong.

i haven't thrown up since last night. gonna try breakfast now.

i had some foot surgery and they gave me the percocets....and i puked and puked and puked....and even when there was nothing left it my stomache i puked some more, and then i puked even more, and then some more after that. it sucked SO BAD i decided i would rather deal with the pain than the puking. no lie. and what the fuck? i had foot surgery and i had to keep hobbling my gimp ass to the bathroom. yeah. it sucked. take your vicodin, the only thing i found to help was not taking it.

Is Percocet considered very strong? That is what I have and right now and it doesn't mess with my head and make movies fun to watch like Codiene did for my last surgery. But it does at least take the pain away, yet I still feel short changed.

I was told to start with the percocet and then move to vicodin as the pain subsided. So, I guess that means percocet is stronger. Of course there's always different dosages as well.

Percocet is a derivitive of Percodan & they are definately stronger than Vicodin.

So it has been about 25 days since surgery, and I am still taking percocet to help me sleep, and to help me start the day off. And today one of my eyes seems to be slightly missaligned from what my other eye is focusing on and everything is blurry. Could this be the drugs? I have never had this happen before.

they fed me paracetamol 4 x 1 gram per day for about a week+.

beginning to wonder about all that other prescribed stuff.

E-mail or call your doc and ask for a prescription for PROMETHAZINE 25 MG tablets. It takes away the nausea and enhances the percs. It makes a world of difference.

you should really try to stay away from them then. seriously. it's all fun and games until the next thing you know you're holding up your local pharmacy at gunpoint.

i've been on a few different pain pills in recent months for a neck injury. i popped one on an empty stomach at a concert last week (a very strong one) and thought i was gonna have to lie down for the rest of the show. i was ok after about about 20 minutes. did. not. like. for me, i get a bigger effect from alcohol than pills. i really don't see what the big deal is. i guess i just don't have the personality type.

Paracetamol, aka Tylenol.
4 grams of apap / 24 hours is the ceiling before toxicity becomes a [major] issue, less if you have been at that dose for an extended period of time. Pretty strange prescription considering your injury if you ask me.

to the op- ask for a antiemetic or a different drug. oxycodone can be too heavy for some people. No reason to suffer- just call your doc.

when i broke my wrist my doc gave me tramadol (liquid drops) and ixprim (french brand name for tramadol in pill form). for my neck, my doc gave me the ixprim again. strong stuff.

just wondering - is tramadol found in the USA? how does it compare to hydrocodon and oxycodone?

yes- it's a synthetic analog of codeine. It is not on the US CSA, which always surprised me considering it's off-label uses have included maintenance and taper from methadone. It comes with a unique set of OD/WD symptoms compared to 'organic' opiates, seizures being the most alarming. This is on the extreme end of side effects, generally it's regarded as a safer alternative to HC/OC due to a lower potential for abuse.

Isn't Tramadol the stuff you can buy in Mexico without a prescription? What a crazy place, with pharmacies every 6 stores or so you'd think MX is the sickest place on earth.

OP - just go to your doc, there are many alternatives to narcotics that will not make you sick. You are not the only one who has had a bad reaction to narcs.
