Rad Michistoke. Do you know those guys from The Mitt who run a small company making surfboards and skis? Can't remember their names or the name of their company, but I skied with them on one of the few powder days last winter at Boho. Cool cats.

Stuff like this really makes me start thinking about getting a board and trying it again - I've never surfed on the Great Lakes. About two months ago when I was windsurfing on the Bay I was talking to a guy who also surfs Michigan a lot. He showed me some pretty cool photos on his phone and said he got out like 100 times last year. Is this bullshit? Is it even possible?

I don't know the guys you're talking about. The only company that even comes to mind would be Windigo, but I'm not sure those dudes are even around any more. It is possible to get that many days a year surfing in the lakes without a doubt in my mind, but you need some serious rubber to deal with the cold temps that about 85 of those days happen in.

To some degree yes, but honestly, yesterday was as good as any SoCal windswell I've ever seen, and as it glassed off these guys were getting rides well over 100yds.
