I'm working the Alpine events and the action from the spectator area is boring and contrived. You cannot appreciate the action unless you are on the course. Watching it on TV is probably the best way to view. I feel sorry for all those people who paid top dollar to sit in the stands and watch the race on the jumbo-tron.

that's what i liked about being a spectator of the Biathlon. you could stand along the sidelines 5ft from the racers and watch the suffering up close and personal and give support that you'll know they will hear. worth the 25$ ticket.

Watching that game live was unreal. depsite the score the fans went apeshit for every goal and hit. I loved every minute of it. The streets were a sea of people following the game.

I was working door at the Swiss House in Whistler a couple nights ago when Defago won the downhill. Of course with that and Colnago's win, the house was off the hook and all the Swiss were trying to get in. Up walks Bernard and of course I let him straight in, everyone else waiting a half hour or so, haha. Of course it helped that he walked up with buddy Canuck Rob Dixon.
