    thanks.
We went on a 3 day 2 night'er right on the east side of Lake George. Had never been in there before, and it's pretty nice. Nothing to intense mileage wise, but still a fun trip.

And no, it's not actually a lean-to in the background. We thought based on the map that we had that there was going to be a lean-to there, but after much searching we couldn't find one. There were, however, a bunch of tent platforms for people who boat in there and camp there. So we ended up just using one of those. Luckily it was mid week in early september, so we didn't have to worry about not finding a place to stay.

Thought I would finally get around to posting pics of my herd. A pic from my daughter's first camping trip this past summer. Cody-6yo yellow dog, Freckles-17yo aussie, and Chico-11yo Black Lab. Sorry I am not good enough at the interweb yet to re-size the pic so that you don't have to scroll the page.

And a short video of the yellow dog to show how "athletic" he is. Enjoy.

I prefer a whack with the pole. Not hard, but just enough to get their attention. Training while on land with good commands is also helpful (a modified heel works well) Get them to walk a couple of feet behind you....

    awesome dog by the way.
smile when you are going down, it looks more graceful

Ahhh! She's herding you, just like my aussie does when we're out biking. My only hope so far is to tire him out and hope that he gets behind me Not the best solution. I have brought whistles to try to scare him back a little bit. Helps when we're on foot, but no hope on the bike. He's just too excited.

Climbing up to the goods with Becks (in front) and our latest arrival from the rescue shelter, Chexs. This is his first ski.

Becks and Chexs finding some deep snow near chair mountain. These dogs ran all day in super deep snow and were not tired.
