Nordic day with Bart. Skate 5 miles up the canyon, Bart runs, then carry him down to get home quicker. Must have met 60 dogs today on the trail.

He's 8. He loves it when it snows. Runs to all the windows in my house and stands on the window sill and stares out, then runs back to me and looks at me like "hey, fucker, lets go!"

    Being an ex-sled dog, he's a beast at ski-jouring.

This is Zoomie....we just adopted her from the shelter. She is 8 months old, the shelter told us she was a mix of Lab and Border Collie but I think she is a McNab which is a mix of those anyway.

Mickey the 3 legged lab was happy to get some snow here in the mid-atlantic

    Heading out

    Scoping things out

At this point she decided to roll in the snow like a pig in mud

    pretty girl

On the hunt for more stoke- notice her ears in full mighty mouse mode- they flap as she hops up and down

So we got about 28.5" in the Mid Atlantic yesterday. Great. What the hell am I going to do with almost 30" of fluff in the city? Answer: Let Skyler enjoy himself:

The sun is out today. Might get a few more...

Jack's on injured reserve after finding out the edges of skis are sharp. Nothing serious, but he'll be staying home for the next two weeks 'til the stitches come out.

"I think people resist freedom because they're afraid of the unknown. But it's ironic....That unknown was once very well known. It's where our souls belong....The only solution is to confront them--confront yourself--with the greatest fear imaginable. Expose yourself to your deepest fear. After that, fear has no power, and fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." -Jim Morrison

Took the pooch down to the state capitol to be a political action dog and ralley for the right to be able to fish float and chase sticks to the high water mark on our Utah waterways.
I really dig this one as it captures a slacker river rat late to hear his dad talk never saw the photog but the dog did

Way OT, but how will this work in St George where the high water mark of the Santa Clara goes through peoples living rooms?
