Any my girl is good to me, so no complaints there. r:

He's not upset. It's that the patroller - cool guy who let him in - used the word gape, so it fits perfectly in the gaper thread. Of course.
You're so far off base, but thanks for playing.

As a final note, the issue was how this seemingly professional fellow had to cop a real attitude. Up until that point, the conversation seemed that we were on the level. And when I asked to ski there, he could have said no and I wouldn't have even had a problem. But instead, he took on an attitude that was unnecessary and off-putting. And perhaps my writing skills didn't do justice to the subtle inflections in his voice, or how he was perhaps 23 and I 27 but even though he had just seen me skiing, we were no longer peers. Overall, his shitty attitude reminded me of the less pleasant people who I have seen on this forum, so I thought to post it here.

Yeah, I guess after too much lurking I decided that I would test the waters to see just how much attitude some of you kids have. I grew up really celebrating skiing and how much I enjoy it. But then there are people who enjoy this particular thread so much because it makes them feel a lot better about themselves. You know, dudes who you see on the Gondi with furrowed brows on a powder day, super upset about how somebody less core than themselves is having fun in the wrong way. That patroller gave me some serious attitude because he didn't know who the fuck I am, and a lot of you people do the same thing every day. I ski because it is a lot of fun. I guess, technically, the word fun doesn't cover the vast range of feelings I experience; challenge and accomplishment are certainly a part of it, as are the mental health benefits that come from so thoroughly clearing my mind. But it feels like a lot of people have come to use skiing as a vehicle to magnify their insecurities and then project judgment onto others. So on this tiny slice of the internets i may be doing it wrong, but if you ever stop for a safety meeting above the S&R Cliffs or climb into the Blue Room above the Hobacks and see me there, chances are your day will be a little more positive, and your skiing might get pushed a bit, too.

You're speaking to truth, brother. I don't know what I was trying to accomplish. I'm just inviting more shit into the shit abyss.

I'm all butthurt and stuff. I'll get over it.

I guess my favorite part is how you weren't satisfied at being clueless about cunting up the end of that patrollers day, but you decided to carry that cluelessness over here and cunt up this humor thread too.

Christ, you're crowding out all the threads about how the elk move the moguls down to lower elevation where they become deer.

I was skiing at my local favorite, Tyrol Basin, this past weekend and rode the chair with some random skier. We started talking about ski areas out west, it was then he asked me if I've ever been to "Jackson's Hole"? Stifling my laughter, I told him that I've never skied in Wyoming.

Thankfully he didn't introduce himself as Jackson.

Yeah, that's what I thought... I usually leave after being turned away muttering how much of a knob the patroller is. *Red faggoty Jacket fucker* blah blah..

Yep, they were right... You're a whiny douche. If it was me, I'd want to be sure the dudes i let through weren't fucking Gapers like 99% of the tools at MHM. Consider yourself lucky cause they never let me you do shit that's outside the lines of "the rulllzz."

I suggest you PM Rontele and tell him how you feel.

E Chair = shitty snow, shitty tourists, shitty bumps, and shitty angle. It's not steep and bumpy at all. You must have been the retard the guy was quoting.

I work in a demo shop. I asked this lady "What type of skier are you, 1, 2, or 3?" She replied: "Mostly double blue squares".

My kids learned at about age 8 that when they have friends like this who want to ski with them that they have to switch equipment (daughter to skis, son to snowboard) in order to be able to go slow enough to keep pace with their gaper friends.
