I personally go for the Madison hopjuice to get the most buzz for my pint, but here's a little stoke from me practicing using a new camera after xmas
(hopefully I'll have it dialed so that I don't feel like I'm wasting everyones time come that first bluebird powder day)

(not sure if this is sarcasm, its only 1 min long though)

Well I was bored today and I'm heading to Jackson tomorrow morning (6 in the fucking morning) so I decided to not drink tonight and I tried to throw together the pov footy I got today.

Finally thanks to Single for taking a couple laps, nice to finally ski with a random mag. I owe an apology to single's buddy who I pretty blatantly laughed at. The guy was doing pretty damn good for being over 6' and riding 174 mini skis. And finally, hope I wasn't too much of a dick to the guys trying to get to their buddies ski that went through a pretty nasty chute.

disclaimer: Watch at your own discretion. This is pretty lame and kinda long. I have a bad problem of standing on drops instead of just doing it (that's what she said) and I didn't really try that hard. Also, music is kinda lame, didn't try very hard on that part either. (edit) I did speed up parts of it so you didn't have to watch me billygoat/be an indecisive pussy.

good work crzyskr, POV just needs some kayne west music, heh...
prettymuch the opposite end of the scale from my celliepics so balancing the thread nicely
edited POV-"the good stuff"- mixed in with regular footy would prob be the most pleasing but until then log the hours to get the kwality I guess-
I don't look here for topnotch filming, rather a glimpse of what the mtn skied like...

Sweet photos guys, wish I could see your video crazyskier, but my computer isn't playing any videos anymore for some reason. Gotta get that fixed along with my memory card slot. Hope we get more than another bullshit couple inches out of this one!

Today was pretty good. I spent the morning checking out some lines off high t that were finally filling in. Straighlining through the choke on phone booth is now doable if you have a little finesse...I'm crippled and I did it, so the rest of you should be just fine! Hopefully we get some light stuff on top of what fell today.

Nice first vid Crzyskier. Second the no music theme. I dig the sound of skis clanking, snow swooshing, plus majority of music people put on their vids suck ass. Hoping to get down to the 'zone soon.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree on just hearing the sounds of skiing, unfortunately I say lots of dumb stuff so for the pov stuff its hard to get any noise other than my creepy heavy breathing and ridiculously dumb comments since the mic is in my coat.

Also, I plan on making a sweet video with combined pov and hd hand-held stuff for the point and chute, but I'm currently lacking on both (Thursday's bluebird and deep conditions should change that though)

Hopefully I'll get back to Bozeman early tomorrow and get some cool stuff. If not, I (selfishly) hope that nothing gets open.

Either way, I'll be skiing some of the best turns of the season for me either in Jackson (High avy danger) or Bozeman (High avy danger & avy Warning) .

DPS Demo tour coming to moonlight and private demos at BBowl this weekend! STOKED!

If anyone here is friends with the guys who set off a slide on Blackmore, tag them in the noggin for me. Were they trying to win a Darwin Award?

Crazy, let me know if you want any help piecing together a vid this winter!

What's a private demo? I'll brush up on my secret handshake in hopes to ride some of those sticks for a run or two.

Today did not suck, good seein yas B and G! Tomorrow should be great as well. Virgin new chair pow + D get after it fellas!

A member in our party witnessed a sizable slide just North of the boundry, looked like one caught, swept a good bit, partially buried, got up moving around. Big crown. Heads up slackcountry folk.

I saw a couple people cruising around on 138's today. I also saw someone on a shiny new pair of BG's, who was it?

Those photos were sweet. I gotta try for more close ups. Too cold today for my bare fingers. Sure was a nice day to be poking around in some fun places I haven't visited in a while. Worth the delays. Glad you guys got some.

Best Bronco laps ever today. Those who were there will know what I mean. Wind refills every run. Slarve city, no speed limit. Good times to be a ski bum.

Looks like fun on the daily vid as well. Good stuff.

    Thumbs up

Yay for Bronco, Sluice Box, Out of Sight, and Hidden Gully today.

Ultra wind-buff! Wide and smooth. No speed limit, indeed.

Bet you guys had fun up there today. Vid of the day looks great.

As Lexi said, stay safe. Snow in the apron/NW sure felt super sketchy yesterday. 24 hours can make a big difference, but keep those avi eyes open the next couple of days.

Didn't get Slushys open today, but they threw some bombs at Bitter End and it propigated into football/quarter saddle area. Saddle itself tore out last night at some point, so it looks like there are tracks up there- where in fact they are weeks old. It looks like the whole saddle skyline was torn out.

A patroller told me that everything over there was propigating a long way, and there was too much that needed work to open it today.

    JC

In other news, I watched someone ragdoll over DRCS... Ouch.

Lots of wind slabs out there!

The center bear chute out of b gully (mama?) had a 2-3' crown on it from fresh wind loading last night (triggered from explosives) and the far lookers right chute (papa?) has been blown-in to about as fat as I've seen it in a long time (it looks prone to rip out tomorrow morning with a bigger charge though). The mama bear slide completely burried the road (as expected) tore out some small trees and had one chunk about the size of my little civic.

Wow, saddle slid? It just looked scoured to me but I believe it, ridiculous wind loading out there right now, be safe.
