Still looking at a minimum of 24" for the Front Range by 6am Saturday. Much more in the Never Summer Range and RMNP. Bulk of the storm being between 6pm Friday and 12am Saturday with 1"+ snow per hour rates.

If you can get somewhere to ski it will be nice I think there will be loads of wrecks, just did a battery/candle/food/booze run and it was nice and slushy.

Power has been on and off for a while here, but with my trusty 6D mag and a bottle of scotch, I think I will make it through the night.

Report your location and conditions if you would guys...

Broomfield/FR - 35 and sleeting off and on.. Had some heavy wet flakes earlier.. Expecting a transition in the next few hours...

This won't do any good since I'm only 5 minutes north of you... but I'm just starting to see some flakes mixed in with the rain.

My trusty weather man on Fox (kidding) said we should expect to wake up to about 5" in the morning here in town.

I drove home from Bozeman today. Snowed pretty good from Sheridan to Cheyenne. Rain in the I25 corridor. Dumped from the divide to the house. Snow has virtually stopped in Vail at the moment. Radar returns for the foothills looks impressive.

Yeah, well the scale doesn't go much higher and the area in question is fucking huge. Like Tara Reid's vagina. 0.6" ppt at 7% would yield close to 9" over those 6 hours which seems like quite a bit to me.

In Dillon, and its snowing steadily at the moment, but not puking. Early stuff wasn't sticking, but it now is (a few inches on the dirt so far). There were periods of huge snowflakes a few hours ago. Looks like Loveland and A-Basin will be very nice tomorrow (as well as Winter Park if you can get there).

Idaho Springs, been snowing steady here for a couple hours, longer then that on chief mtn. and raining all evening before the snow. My best guess is 3-4 here right now, and melting at a rate of maybe .5'' an hour on rock/concrete.

WITH A FEW SPOTS IN THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS EXPECTED TO SEE AS MUCH AS 4 FEET OF SNOWFALL.

I'm no weather expert, but 7% water content from this storm seems like a stretch to me. I have a feeling this snow is going to be the wettest we've seen all year.

    Probably right. I'm just optimistic.

Anyway, this is one of the more nutty point forecasts I've seen in RMNP:
    http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...0&unit=0&lg=en

27-39" in the Tyndall Gorge without taking account of Saturday's snowfall.

EDIT - 30-46" near Longs Peak.

I was going to head up last night, but at last check the roads were looking crappy, and the resorts hadn't gotten anything...

Now, I'm regretting it. Tomorrow could be the best day of the year at A-basin/Loveland!!

Looks like the winds were coming from the N all night at 15-20 but have recently shifted across the board towards the W.

And in case you're wondering where the recent snow has been falling the hardest (link):

Anyone wagering on possibility and/or timing to an Eisenhower closure? Roads look clear as of mid-day Fri. Looking to head up tonight.

WB-70 is closed to Floyd Hill. Does that count? Looks like all of the CA transplants in Evergreen already bricked.
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.
