Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

yeah. I always loved the fact that he designed the tank curves with Buddha's eyebrow as inspiration..
and i love the linear look...even though my bitch bar interrupts that.

Nah, I was thinking 750 (I have one). The gauges are the same, but of the two guys he was chasing (and passed) the one on the front was I believe a Ducati 749, which probably wouldn't be on the track with a 600.

I watched it a second time and think the speed/gear he exits the pits in the beginning says 750 as well. The speed/gear selections match up with my '06 750 almost exactly methinks. I could be wrong but from my guestimation it seems to be the closest from the few clues we're given.

Just picked this up today. First bike since my YZ80 days of my youth.

Old man's old and slow bike.

It's the 650GS with a taller suspension and a 21" front wheel. Don't know how I like it yet because I have yet to have time to ride it and we're just getting into riding season in the PNW.
I had the 1150 gs, sold it a few years ago, liked it but HEAVY, I wanted to go smaller this time, more dual-sporty.
GS 850 looks nice, but didn't want to spend that much right now and I'd want to wait til it's more proven over time.
    The 650 rotax is bomber.
Which KTM are you talking about, the 950/990? That is a sick bike, but more than I want right now. No comparison to any of the above bikes imo, in a class by itself.

Damn, what a new world this riding stuff is. Had a great day riding on the south end of the Oquhirr's and some other range west of the Oquhirr's.

Might be doing a moto-assisted ski tour on the south peak (name?) of the Oquhirr's next week.

    I'm hooked.

213 - that's rad, i hope to be doing some of that when they get the passes open this year. the ski inside the sidepanel that close to the tire is a little scary though. ever have any issues with that?

Last weekend doing a little moto. I still can't believe I took last year off, but racing full time for 8 years, I got a little burned out. Now I am back and more excited then I have been in years. Oh and the new bike it awesome, I can ride at a full pace on the moto track and not fear for my life even with the stock XC suspension, very cool.

Thats funny, I had no idea about the sidepanel catchup until reviewing the photos and was like 'holy shit!'. I think it only happened a few times when I would sit more upright and get forward around banks, usually I am in the standup/crouch zone. Could be sketchy in a crash, but otherwise the angles of everything kept ski tails from from rubbing. First time on the dirty bike with skis though, and definitely not the last! Tiogaaaahahahahaha!!!

Just spent the last couple days riding and crashing in Moab.

Rode Sovereign, Gold Bar, Golden Spike, Poison Spider, Slick Rock, and Amasa.

Gold Bar-Golden Spike worked my sorry ass with all the steep ledges.......ughhhhh, never thought riding a motorcycle would be so much damn work.

Threw in a couple laps on Slick Rock on the human powered bike just for good karma.

HEHEHE, I always love to hear guys say this. For some reason people seem to think that riding an dirt bike off road is like driving their car, and that you just sit there and don't spend any energy. I race with several guys who use to race Mt bikes and they all say that racing a dirt bike off road is at least as physically demanding, if not more so than Mt biking.
