Nice, I'll be driving up for the pre-work pow laps at LL, until 11am-ish.

I got played on chair 4 situation.

I was up bright and early, then found out it might open by 12. I had to leave by 1 at the latest. 12 o'clock I bailed as the lifty left on sno mo and the patrollers split to the base area.

That makes 3 times I've been played on openings

    - Chair 2 - "oh it'll be at least an hour" - next run its already opened and shredded

    - Nick Nox - "at least 20 minuts" - next lift up I see a hoard already shredded it.

    - Chair 4 - Played

That's what we were told too- opening by noon. We had to take off before it actually opened.... oh well, I got the rope drops on Nix Nox and Chair 1 goodies.

pablo, i don't get it. I have been to the ocho, but i am always drawn to steeper fall lines off of 1, south chutes, the ridge, certain shots and trees off of 4. We'll have to meet up for an ocho tour, until then I don't see the point, whene there are better lines to be skied. Shenanigans

    Yup.

I had to work while there were awesome chair 1 ropes drops. But there is always more snow and always more fresh turns and I had a ton of fun skiing the last couple of days.

I've been in my boots for seven days in a row and I need a break today. But I know there'll be something fun to do tomorrow.

I kinda like the rolling stuff just below the top of 8...and taking a different line through the trees each run...and of course there's the lack of crowds since it takes a little forethought to get over there.
but it's definitely not the steepest LL has to offer

exactly. it is not the steepest spot at LL, but it holds pow, and has a wide variety of lines to take. i hit the ocho usually around 1030-11 after a lot of 1 and/or 4 has been skiied off. and for a lot of folks it is not the getting over there, but geting back that causes them to not make the journey. i am one of the few folks who thinks "face" is a fun run, and the tree slots are a great way to get back.

i would like to see how the traverse off awesome is setting up now, as that is a nice go-to spot once everything else has been hit.

It was great day & good seeing/skiing with Hyrupz,Shera,GGski & others.I wish I could be there again today, but responsibility is a heavy responsibility. Crinkle, missed skiing you there.

Someone posted that there was no one there yesterday for the opening of 4;I respectfully beg to differ.I'm guessing there were at least 100 people stampeding into the Euro-style queue with elbows abounding. It got skied beaucoup quick!
    Calmer than you dude

My very last run at the end of the day off 4 was totally untracked.
