Thanks Lee. We'll definitely have bikes, and my husband won't be attending the conference, just slumming it with the snow geeks and begging for beer coupons.

Look forward to meeting you- and know that we are mostly intermediate and cross-country type riders. All the downhill antics at Whistler are a bit intimidating.

    Hey CMOR-

Excellent paper- thanks for the link. I'll look for you at ISSW and perhaps we can discuss/ put together some kind of article/ issue/ theme/ focus with other folks on how to make forecasts really mean something on first read, and I can print it in The Avalanche Review. I've been working on some of the "writing for forecasters" workshops recently, and have some ideas.

enjoyed reading your paper cmor. Couple of typos you may want to correct if you are presenting at ISSW. Other than that good work, and glad you're OK.

Anyone want to ride to and from ISSW with me? I'll be bringing my truck and camper, so I've got room for 3 to ride and crash comfortably. Split gas and food. I'm coming from Sonora, CA, and could collect folks along the way. Anyone up there have a place to park the camper?

i'll probably be arriving @ YVR sunday night, around 8pm.

i've got a place to stay @ whistler, but i'm wondering what the most effective thing to do is. i assume renting a car is the best (only) option at that hour...but it means i need to eat the cost of it for the next 4 days.

    any ideas?

~3h from YVR to whistler? it's been a while since i've been up there.

We'll be there, and of course we'll be throwing our traditional WARI Avi-Vest party. Points North Heliskiing is our co-sponsor. We'll be demonstrating the latest prototype Avi Vest avalanche flotation device at the bash, hopefully demo'd by the appropriate hottie.......

UAN - you should take the bus service that runs from YVR to Whistler. Not sure what its called but perhaps ask in the main Ski forum
