    IPHONE DISCOVERY

Hello 'mags'...remember back in december when i kindly posted about my lost iphone? remember how everyone was like "your a tool, iphones are gay, you shouldn't be in the BC".

Well the apple gods have drizzled there technological love down to the lowely thai food server in the form of a cold but not completely torn up Iphone. Thats right, i'm chilling at work (working at work, sorry) and in walks this bloke who asks for pete.

He is holding an iphone with a similar case that i used to have. the same one that i had unfortunately lost to the powder gods a couple months back. He says to me..."are you pete, the guy who lost his iphone back in december?" i say hell ya, why? and he goes well i was coming down north hoback with some friends. we stopped for a 'kind' h20 break. and while i am standing there i dig my tip in to throw up some fluff. well sure enough up comes what felt like a flat rock. it launches perfectly into my hands, and as i brush off a little ice and snow there is an apple iphone.

He had remembered reading about this on the board, and went back and searched the thread. Well long story short i have the phone back, and though it doesn't work it is being sent back for a replacement.

So there ya have it, a miracle in the great town of jackson hole.

Thanks Ron for returning a piece of me. i think tonight i'm gonna lay out all my gear and do a little inventory, can't be too careful when your out there going big and laying tracks.

I was skiing Magic two years ago and lost my ipod while skiing. I didn't notice it until the end of the day since I turned it off and put it in my pocket after lunch. Needless to say, I forgot to zip my pocket and lost said ipod somewhere on the mountain.

As I was leaving the mountain, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask if anyone had turned it in and low and behold, the guy at the ticket counter was listening to it. Some kind individual turned it in.

It ended up working for a little bit but the water damage caused it to freeze up frequently. I brought it to an Apple store a week later and they replaced it on the spot - no questions asked.

Good karma to the kind individual.

    No intention of hijacking.
But I lost my ipod at Solitude last week on middle slope.
    It is a 2nd generation/white.
I just stacked it full with every tune off of skimoviemusic.com.
    Finders keepers.

ack, that sounds like an old work colleague who has a rare medical condition which means his sphynchter loosens when he ejaculates. Lucky he didn't have an iPhone stuck up his ass set to vibrate last time he scored... I'd hate to do the repair jobbie on that.

I do think it is a bit poor that apple didn't QA the iphone for piss and stuff and if they pack up with a bit of cold they are hardly going to work well in Canada.

Pull the battery (knowing apple, thats prolly easier said than done w/ an iphone) and throw it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a couple of days. The rice will help absorb most of the moisture.

Fo sho, he got one girl twice.
... and at a dime a dozen he would have only had 2 pay (we speculate) about 14$ instead of $400

had another buddy (they are brothers) who drunk and sleepwalking, went over 2 his roomates desk, pulled out his desk drawer and pissed all over his roomies laptop! ( it was at UNH so, i think these things are pretty much the norm)
