Seriously. That crust was gnarly. Funshapes if ya got'em. The guy we saw on Spats (you a mag?) said he was having a good time, but we was struggling.

yeah i can honestly say that was the worst 5" i've ever skied. Granted Jibij and I had a blast on the comedy value alone. We were playing leap-frog crash, just come around the corner, sure to find one us picking ourselved up. I had some good laughs today at how great it looked and how awful it skied.

Don't think the guy on spats was a mag, i've talked with him before in the line up at loveland.

Even in the trees? What about the usually loaded bowl below 4 midway?

Let's just say that Woolbury (who knows LL very well) and I looked very, very hard and couldn't find anywhere that didn't have a windcrust.

EVERYTHING, we hit all aspects and the best run, which boardered on mediocre was the face. We tried pockets off of every chair in hopes of escaping the crust for a few soft turns.

Like wise. I ended up skiing with the guy on spats after you guys took off. He is not a mag but it turns out he knows one of my best friends from when they worked at the same hill in Illinoise. Talk about a small world.

I didn't go, but some friends said that a few inches of heavy new snow made things creamy and fun.

Glad to hear things are back in shape. We'll see ya up there Sat, hopefully ridge will be open and will have some nice windblow in there.

BTW, Spats guy is Sean. Another skier from the midwest hotbed that spawned Eben and half dozen other Iowa/Illinois chargers. How they learned to ski like that in the flatlands is beyond me.

Fucking coldest morning I have ever spent on skis today. Finally warmed up a bit at like 11.

Snow was very cold and base grabby until it warmed up. 4 was very fun and smooth once it got chopped up a bit. Tomorrow should be nice and smooth.

I'll probably be up there tomorrow too Nick. That is if I can get my shit together and finish all this work...

I have to be back in Boulder by 3:00, but will probably ski till about 1:30.

Nice. Did it snow all day?

I have been sick with the flu all week and am trying to decide if I should rally.
