i was going to mention the Uly but thought i was risking sounding like too much of a Buell fanboy. i suppose im already past that point though.
Not every harley dealer will service the Uly though, just the ones that are Buell dealers too. that seems to be a lot of them, but not all. I have to take my Buell to missoula, great falls or billings to get it worked on rather than to the belgrade H-D dealer.

Nice GS Snowbeard. Yeah, I post over on the GSR quite a bit.
The bike now that it has the GSXR 1000 suspension looks like this nowadays. The improvement in braking/handling is phenomenal.
Needs a few more mods (paint, seat, fairing) to look like my goal, the blue/white 1981 GS1000 racebike:

Looking for riding partners come late spring. I rode by myself the last 3 seasons and love going solo, but can only push oneself so far while alone.
Can't remember if I ever posted here, so sorry for the repeat if I did...
2001 RC51 with custom Colin Edward rep paint job for the 2002 Laguna Seca round of WSB. Rode this bike really tentatively after the work.
Never had the problem of being tentative of my brother's 996, though. This was me at Laguna in 2005 (turn 9, I think).

You definitely haven't owned a DucatiWhen they run they're awesome, when they don't they're expensive. Actually, they're pricey when the run, too. But it's a Ducati so you get an automatic 500,000 cool points just for being seen on one. Get a vintage Ducati jacket and you're $$$.
The touring / enduro style bikes are out of my realm of experience, but I'm sure Sport Rider has tested them at some point. My vote automatically goes to the Duc though, if for no reason than the sweet, sweet engine. Same one used in their superbikes (but "re-tuned" for low end thrust).
Trigger pulled!

EmpireGP based in New York. Car backed into my bike while parked, so there was some fairing damage. Shipped all the body work to them for repair and thought, "What the hell". They did a very good job with everything. Some tiny bubbles in the decals along some curves, but everything lined up well and the paint job was top shelf. Last time I checked there were some "in process" photos of my bike on their website, and then I sent them the finished job once everything was pieced back together.
tex, can't claim much of my own work on the BSA, got it in nearly that condition a few months ago. it's far from "restored" yet tho, I've just been getting things cleaned up enough to run. it had a carb fire probably ten years back that took it off the road, so new wiring, cables, and hoses near the engine/carb. new wheel bearings (that was fun in a ski-centric garage! dry ice and hairdryers are amazing) new chain, a few other minor repairs like the kickstart quadrant, return spring, etc. and she was on the road again!
then the magneto went south right after registration!!hopefully get that back in line in the spring when riding is again possible (or whenever my street thaws!)
boarderline, I thought I recognized that bike from your sig over there, nice work! small world, this internets thing.
ride on mags!! nice job too, cono!! enjoy!
any harley guys want a set of REALLY LOUD pipes? One of my co-workers bought a softtail that had West Coast Choppers "Hellbent" pipes -
he replaced them with something a little tamer and is looking to sell the old ones. pm if interested.
edit - that's the stock photo from WCC, not his bike.
some really crappy pics of my re-assembled bike:
It was snowing too hard last night to get it outside and take decent pics.
Latest mods:
mini fender and new signals front & rear
pulled the highly restrictive stock airbox
this just got faster & louder...
Well... my motorcycle got stolen a long time ago, but this is my new stoke: RMK 900 secret pow destroyers. Very, very fun- we've hit 79mph Tandem, and 90mph+ solo; it's cool when your bros buy 'em too.

Finally, I can post in this thread! I acquired this bad-ass mean-machine from a friend this week. This is just a quick pic before it went into storage for the rest of the winter.
Yeah, that’s right. It’s an Ascot. Recognize!
There's a lot to be said for nowhere.
