Oh Flexon, how I love thee...

Thou art like a cool summer breeze.
Thou wrap my foot in comfort,
    Yet bitchslap the snow beneath.
    Thy power transmission is smoov.
At first you seem weak and soft
Yet underway you respond and tilt and drive.
The biggest skis are tamed by your graceful
    Synergy of tact and tenacity
    Power and feel.
Why oh why did I ever leave you?
To find a boot more modern, more powerful?
    It was just a sham.
Now I am home. Though your name has changed,
    You've welcomed me
    there.
    I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.

That's quite the love poem Particle.

This is my first season in the beloved Flexon (really Full Tilt) boot and my feet have never been more comfortable in a pair of ski boots. I decided to try Full Tilts after my son skied in a pair of Flexons for the last couple of seasons, thanks to 300hp for the hookup.

I love the fit, especially around my ankle, warmth and forward flex. I put a booster strap on them and now they're even better.

I like how you poetically returned the last word to it's own special line.

Don't think so. I have both Kryptons and Flexons in the same size and last year when I got the Kryptons I had measured them. Simplest way (if you have thermoflex or intuition liners) is to remove the liner which would have molded to exact shell width and measure them. In the forefoot which I assume you mean by width, the kryptons were slightly narrower. The reason I did all this nerdy stuff is because my feet are a bit wide and I was hoping Kryptons would be wider but they are not. Had to get a small punch and with thermoflex, it worked out. Very tight fit but bearable.

If you don't have thermoflex, it is easy to get the wrong impression due to the liner (which very well may be wider).

I have measured both and I am trying to find the post where I have the volumes. The Krpton is NOT a higher volume boot.

Yep I'm just going off what the rep told me...the Kryptons were widened in the forefoot a bit to accommodate a wider variety of foot shapes.

All I can go with are actual measurments on my pair of Krypton Cross (black ones) and Flexons (silver and blue). These are not full tilt but I assume they didn't change the Flexon last.

In the same size, Kryptons are slightly longer (296 mm vs 293 mm). They are most definitely NOT a 102 mm last (that would be like My Solly Xwave 10s which have a huge forefoot).

Forefoot width is the same or slighly narrower on my Krypton.

Actual measurement beats a rep's view any day :-)
