My observations regarding the douchebag olympics were just that....observations. I don't know, maybe you deserve the Silver. It is hard to objectively determine the winner. But if you two continue to chime in as if you are going to win something...maybe we could get you guys a cookie.

If they don't huck and are prone to going 16 miles and 5000ft to get their line but still want to have the most fun they can on the descent, why is this so funny? Please enlighten us as to what the problem here is. Are you going to tell us how much reverse camber sucks again? Or are you going to tell us how lame dynafit is?

I agree with you that those types of skis are great for hucking and going fast. Dynafits bindings are great, I use them. Those skis do have limited application on on the way up. Can't use crampons, easier to lose an edge on icy slope above a big cliff. There, a fat ski with low sidecut is better. There's alot of routes where you end up skinning above the big nasty, and switching to booting gets old. But hey I wanted to hear Jonnyphills take.

I guess the other part was that if you touring to huck and stuff it might be better to use bigger binding than the dynafit. Nice photo in that TR by the way, their like HD tv.

As far as I am concerned, people could ski on anything they want to, in any condition they want to. We all have our preferences, hence the fact there are so many different skis to choose from. Just to enlighten everybody about the most awesomest set up ever, you should bless us with your current set up that allows you to rip on everybody else.

lets see now, Ad goes to school at Colorado College(drove up from Colorado Springs and he got a student discount), he has a car,( was able to leave right after he got a call he boots were in). He has a digatal camera, and a computer. Also, the latest and greatest skis and boots. He skis "extream" terrain when not in his marketing classes and does not have a job(what time is left for one). Who pays for all this? Oh that must be your daddy and mommy. and let me guess your dads a lawyer who writes letters trying to get refunds every time the slightest thing goes wrong at taco bell. Is that where you learned to argue and complain about customer service, from your daddy who pays all your bills?

Lets see now, Ad goes to Neptune to get some boots. Gets into an argument with an employee, and subsequently gets banned from the store. Logs on to TGR (where he has been a member for a little while), and tells his side of the story. Countless members agree due to the fact that they have all encountered similar attitudes from the store.

Employees and friends of employees join TGR, and begin to make excuses and call many there names (i.e. for those of you who are slow, this is probably the same attitude that was mentioned above).

The owner of the shop probably can’t figure out why so many people have a problem with his store.

Ouch, this seems a bit harsh. If he removed asbestos for a living and his parents were sharecroppers I guess he would be entitled to comment on the service provided by a company? I'm not following the logic here.

As I said earlier in the thread, my experience with Neptune has been variable but generally okay. I am not looking to rush their fraternity when I go in there, just do some commerce and leave. But it's obvious there is a strong opinion out there regarding their lack of training of service skills and it's maybe something Gary and his managers ought to take a look at. No need to damn the poor guy to eternity in Atlanta for sharing his experience!

Chances are strong to very strong that 'that dude' knows a fuckload more than you about gear if he/she can't be talked out of it. The customer's opinion is ALWAYS right, unless it's a safety issue. You personally have NO idea what their intended usage is actually going to be.

Why do you think this owner would hire and keep people around that he knows are probably not the most customer oriented crew(or at least one of them isnt). Money maybe? Most likely the employees are not making bank but they know some of the equipment and area probably. Your going to end up with a crew that is invovle enough in the sport that they are willing to sacrifice the money to be around what they know??? .
