Why in god's name do you feel a need to assert your superiority in this situation? You must realize that you are in fact doing a disservice to the store you claim to support. As you appear to be nothing more than an arrogant asshole whose demeanor is on par with that of the OP.

While I am almost certain that the original poster acted in a manner that was at the very least unprofessional, and at the very worst bordering on verbal assault, this thread has become a different animal entirely. The fact that a great number of people have felt slighted by the salespeople at Neptune should serve as an impetus to store management to stress customer service in their daily interactions with customers. Instead, employees have taken what should have been an opportunity to set the record straight and chose to castigate an entire community. Even if the store was correct in banning the customer, their non response is puzzling.

2. It is NOT 1990. We are not skiing 230cm DH boards for powder. McConkey showed us the way to fat skis in the 90s. He then showed us the way to reverse reverse. You WILL respect him. I'm actually not fit enough to skin with heavy Fritschi's/Naxo's/Dukes. I have TLT's on Dynafit FR10 because I'm fat, slow, and old.

But some of these younger guys, they can tour all day on heavy gear. From time to time we tour with them.......and they continually prove that you don't need the typical sissy stick to tour all day and get shit done.

I'm glad my laughing stock could provide the CORE BACKCOUNTRY HARDMEN some entertainment this morning.

Pardon me now, as I rendevous for my hardcore SLC Alpine Start at the crack of 9:30 am. We are going to go crush some 20 degree meadows and probably crank out an amazing 1,000ft of climbing today.
