PNW Storm is on it's way........

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH
    SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH FOR THE WEST SLOPES OF THE NORTH AND CENTRAL WASHINGTON
CASCADES...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH
    SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
EIGHT TO 14 INCHES OF NEW SNOW COULD POSSIBLY FALL OVER THE
CASCADES FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING AS A
VIGOROUS COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH WESTERN WASHINGTON.
AN ADDITIONAL 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE THROUGH THE
REMAINDER OF SATURDAY...AS MODERATE WEST FLOW BEHIND THE COLD
FRONT KEEPS SNOW SHOWERS GOING THROUGH THE DAY. SNOW LEVELS ARE
EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM AROUND 1500 FEET OVER THE NORTH CASCADES TO
AROUND 2500 FEET OVER THE CENTRAL CASCADES.
THERE IS STILL SOME DOUBT ABOUT JUST HOW MUCH SNOW WILL RESULT
WITH THIS SYSTEM. REGARDLESS...SNOW WILL FALL IN THE MOUNTAINS
FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY AND TRAVELERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR WINTER
    DRIVING CONDITIONS.

Break out the fat skis, it's a gonna dump sum powduh!!!

Does look a bit juicy, this one does.

Let's hope Ullr brings it heavy...

Based on precedents recently set by the Rocky Mountain & Sierra contingents, I will be SORELY disappointed if this PNW storm-cycle thread does not stretch 6 pages, minimum.

    W/B.

    Sunday.

It was mixed snow/rain in Coquitlam this afternoon. Should be good for Saturday from W/B down to Hood.

I hit baker today. It was already sick by 3pm. Saw some face shots on the elbow. Stupidly, I didn't bring gear. They opened Chair 5 lift line. Very nice as well. Still a bit thin low. Oh, and that was before it started snowing. Tomorrow will be sick.

Not sure yet. Either on Hood or Crystal for me cause that's about my one day drive limit.

There's a lot of doubt according to noaa in regards to the amount of precip from the storm. So I am playin' this one by ear. But if it hopefully delivers I detect a fun day on chair six or upper bowl at skibowl. Neither of which are open as of now.

After the damage left from the last storm weirdness. I am not holdin' my breath.

My boss already knows I am taking a day off next week.

Went in for an ecg and other heart tests last night cause I had a stress related scare.

Well to alleviate that stress I am taking a powder day next week.

they're not gonna have shit open at stevens unless it dumps big. 7th and DD are big rock fields, and the backside needs at least 20-30 inches so they can groom it. just speaking from experience here, so stranger things might happen. they do a damn fine job of getting shit open when it's ready, i just don't think it's gonna be ready til monday or tuesday.

    Summit opening tomorrow!

Just got the email, Summit West is opening tomorrow:

Excellent news. WE'RE OPENING TOMORROW (Saturday, December 15th, 2007)! The season officially kicks-off at The Summit at Snoqualmie this weekend with Summit West opening Saturday, December 15th, and Sunday, December 16th, from 9AM to 4PM. The Summit Nordic Center will also get started this weekend with a limited operation, from 9AM to 3PM. We hope to open more terrain in the coming days as the forecast looks promising. For a complete operating schedule, click here. Please keep in mind, early season conditions do exist.

I was all excited until I saw that it's only 765ft vert. Maybe on Sat for hahas and hit Xstal on Sunday for the good stuff.
