FS: 56cm Crosscheck, sm. Stinky D, DJ stuff

I'm gonna try this again, with pics and some new pricing and info.

    56cm Surly CrossCheck
I built this bike last spring on a whim and a quick decision to accompany my father-in-law who was riding his bike from SLC to SF. I thought I'd use it to train on over the summer, but I enjoy any and all dirt too much at this stage, so it has sat, from mid june till now. Its got 532 mellow miles on it...(West side of Utah Lake to just west of Fallon, Nev.), and never had panniers, we had a sag car. Now its gotta go so I can buy a Bottlerocket or 4x or somesuch.

$1400 plus shipping, or make an offer

56cm Surly CrossCheck complete, ready to roll.
    105 10spd shifters, f&r derailleurs
    R 600 Compact cranks/bb external 50/34 (btwn 105 and Ultegra)
    105 12-27 cassette
    R 560 (105) wheel set
    Ritchey alu. post and bars
    Avid Shorty 4 brakes
    Unfancy Echowell computer
Selle Italia 'Rolls' seat...classy!/classic, Ti rails.
    Vittoria Randonneur Cross 28c tires
I'll throw in the bottle cages

Next up is a 2005 Kona Stinky Deelux
This was my wifes bike, she rode it for the summer of 2005, but basically put it away when she realized that DHing and law school don't mix very well; she needs her brain and her hands fully functional. It sat in the basement the past 2 summers b/c she still got the DH jones now and then, but always deferred to a trail ride on her 575.

    $1100 plus shipping.
Brakes bled, new f. rotor/pads, new cable and housing, sticky tires if you want em.
    size small/15.5
    Fox DHX 4.0
    Marzocchi 888 VF
    105 short cage r. der
    XT shifter
    Hayes HFX 9 brakes
    Truvativ Holzfeller DH cranks 34t
    Truvativ Box guide
    Truvativ Hussefelt bars and stem
Sun S-type rims, Marz. 20mm f hub, deore rear.

Lastly, I have a Felt DJ bike that I'm willing to part out a bit, or sell as is: no f.wheel or f. brake
This was another bike I bought on a whim for a deal and never ended up riding. Jumping on hardtails doesn't do it for me anymore and street doesn't either. Whoops.
    Felt Singleshot($125)
    Manitou Gold Label 100mm ($325)
    Sram x-5 shifter/der 8spd
Hayes Mag r. brake (recently rebuilt)
WTB rim, 'Felt' bolt on r. hub
    Truvativ Hussefelt cranks, bars, stem
    ODI Ruffian lockons
    Truvativ box guide

I might sell the fork, frame and wheelset (I have a bolt on f. wheel)separately or all that up there for $600
If not complete, I'm gonna hang onto the cranks, bb, bars and stem.

    Buy my stuff...enable me.

I'm trying to sort through a sizing question, with brother Flowtron's help. I suspect that the 15.5" frame is a bit small for me.

According to the current Kona sizing chart, the closest frame sizes listed are 14" and 16". They recommend 16" for someone 5'0"-5'7". Being more like 5'8" or 5'9", I suspect I'd fit a 17" frame better. I'm hoping to get on a demo bike to feel out frame size in person, but in the interim:

anyone out there have experience with sizing these frames?

Kona has dinked around with their geometry and tt lengths a bit since this bike, I'll see if I can find the 2005 geometries somewhere.
I rallied it around the hood a little after tuning it up....soo fun...I briefly considered just buying a 66 and hanging onto it for my bikepark/fr33rid3 bike, but then I'd probably be wifeless.....plus a shorter travel rig is what I need.

Skierbiker, I think we all need to see a little more effort here with the 'rental units. Have them call kidwoo and he can tell them what a great deal it is.

    It pisses me off...

My parents don't want me to get a job, so that I concentrate on school. They even said that if I did well, they would pay for things I want. Fair enough...I'm in AP Biology and AP BC Caclulus, and two other honors classes, and getting straight A's. Which is definitely top 10 in my class. And they still won't pay for a bike that is amazingly discounted and my size and in good shape, and is local. Arghh!!! </rant>

Now if you hold the thing till' spring I might get enough bitching and whining in for them to pay...

    But don't count on it.
