    Stolen Board, Bay Area

Had a 7S Superfish XL taken off my car in San Mateo. It is 8', orange on the bottom, yellow on top, in a white Dakine Day bag. I know everyone hates the big company, but it's what I have. Or had.

Also, if you are in central Cal and haven't heard, there has been a rash of car burglaries on the Coast. Mostly people breaking into cars, finding the keys, and driving the car a few blocks away to peruse the contents at their leisure.

The son of a guy in my office had his car stolen while surfing recently (in San Diego where he goes to school). Same scenario. I'm sure they watched him stash his keys in the gas cap, waited til he was in the water, then took off. He got the car back in OK shape, nothing valuable left in it though.

Sorry about your board. Time to keep an eye on Craigslist and arrange a beat-down if it turns up. You might try posting a somewhat generic "wanted" ad on CL, without the brand/color details and see if anyone contacts you. Many thieves are stupid.

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

I never would have thought those bums sitting on the bench drinking booze would be smart enough to figure out where I was stashing my key in plain sight.

Fucking sucks. Will keep an eye out - I am in that area a lot; but I imagine it will find its way to craigslist.

You should contact the local shops in HMB, SF and SC as well. They may spot it before anyone else does. Good luck...

Enuf to get said homiez a two-week fix. Fresh, name brand (BD) needles included

I appreciate everyone keeping an eye out. I don't expect it to turn up, but if I see it in the water, I'll probably punch a hole in it and leave. I can't complain-I have a great job here and was able to buy another board. Better for it to happen to me than someone that couldn't afford it. The Rusty DI is a better board for me anyway...
