    Seattle area mags...

Got a buddy who is moving out to the Seattle area. Wondering what a good place to find an apartment is. Single balding male in mid twenties. Mid-priced appartments close to ski areas?

    Any ideas???

^^^ Don't listen to that.... If I needed a place I would try the Kennmore, Woodinville area for close to ski areas and decent place to live or places like Ballard, N. Seattle if you want to live closer to the city. Also if you don't need to live in the city, Mill Creek is a great area close to Stevens And somewhat close to Baker. Theres many great palces in the PNW.

Cap Hill. Changes is the best bar around. Seriously, I'd go with Fremont, Balard, Queen Anne, Westlake...

Yeah, given our traffic and rudimentary mass transit I'd advise living within a few miles of work. That way he can ride/take a bus/or drive on surface streets.

The western neighborhoods like Magnolia or Ballard might be a little further from the Interstates for ski adventures, but not too much.

    I second this emotion.

I live 5 miles from work and can take the bus, ride a bike, or drive surface streets when I-5 is backed up. Takes about 15-20 minutes to go 5 miles.

For a week, I was 14 miles away in Lynnwood and it took me 45-50 minutes to get to Lake Union. Therefore, it's highly recommended to live near where you work. Your mental health will thank you. Driving to skiing is a lot easier during off hours.

cj001f, my buddy Rick lives in Lake City. He throws parties just about every night...ever been? Lights, mirrors, fire poles, music...best party in town...unfortunately.

But really...tell your friend to at least live on the _west_ side of Lake Washington.

    Remember, it rains every day.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

Fremont/Wallingford, Ballard, Capital Hill are my favorites in the city. Mill Creek is close to the goods, full of affordable apts and not as ghetto as Lynnwood and Everett
