plan to live out of a hotel for a week. find a place in sandy to live that is ready to move into. you should be able to get a place in one of the million apartment complexes out here.

I moved out in August and thats what I did. You have to be aggressive with stuff on craiglist and in the paper though because it is hard to get a place. I assume you care more about skiing than nightlife. If that is the case look around Sandy (assuming you're going to ski the LCC). If you want your nightlife too look at the avenues, university area, trolley square, sugarhouse, etc...

I live near trolley square and have no regrets. 40 minutes to the tram at snowbird.
Just ski down there and jump of a somethin' fer cryin' out loud!

You can immediately take the 3 PC resorts off your list of 11.
I told you to tell them

ahhh...philly....i lived in philly for 5 years while i went to college at temple university...are there nice areas???

i think the most i ever paid for a place was $500 a month.

    let me see...life in philly.

my roomates car was stolen and then set on fire...we later got to go down to the police station and 'identify' it and i got to see all the other vehicles involved in crimes...most of them drive by shootings.

my car broken in to 4 different times...one time my debit card was stolen and my college tuition was spent on video games, mcdonalds and shoes.

i was held up at knife point on allegheny ave (my spelling is probably wrong) and my school bag was stolen.

my apartment was broken in to by a crack addict that lived down the street and $400 in cash was stolen from me.

my tires were slashed by some psycho on steroids who thought i stole 'his stash'...turns out he was so fucked up, he thought i was his ex-girlfriend...i'd never seen this guy before in my life.

moral of the story...philly is no place for a 110 pound white girl from a small town in upstate new york.

however, i toughed it out, graduated from college and promptly got the fuck out of there.

Temple just happens to sit in probably one of the worst areas of Philly, which is North Philly. I live in the suburbs, but grew up in a very bad neighborhood. Once im done school which will be 2-3 more years, im outta here.

I pay about the same as that, so $950 will be more than enough. If you want somewhere close to downtown checkout Sugarhouse, but if you wanna be as close possible to the mtns. check out Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, or Midvale.

$950 a month can get you a studio in West Valley City. Good luck man...

Cost of living in SLC is soooo fucking high you'll only be able to afford cheerios and green jello all winter.

    Sugar House

$7 cab rides downtown, walk/ bike to the best Irish pubs in town, walk to the toughshed and numerous killer coffee shops... twenty minute drive to the 7-11 at the base of the canyons. 10 minutes to the airport. Sugar Hood is the best location in SL"UT as far as I'm concerned and you can't feel the mormons. Sandy requires driving a car everywhere and there's nothing but strip malls and mormons in the 'burbs. thoughts?...

You are right, sugarhood is the best place in SLC. Does it really matter if you wake up 20 minutes early??? Because that is all it takes to drive from Sugarhouse to the base of LCC. Plus, who the fuck wants to live in suburban Moromonville? Yeah, mormon chicks are hot as hell, but they are screwed up in the head.
