From what I've read, their 3.0 fabric is pretty bomber. Not as nice as a full on GoreTex Kok Rogue, but hell for $80....

I couldn't wake up early enough last saturday to use mine, but it looks sweet. I ended up with an XL, but with pfd & elbow pads, it should fit nicely. I'm going to have to get used to the tight latex neck gasket again after using the comfy IR neoprene neck for years.

If the XL is too big, let me know.

smolakian, sorry you missed out. i hear (being too technologically inept to have personal knowledge) that you can set SAC to RSS Feed you (sort of like email???) a notice every time something new comes on.

I got mine and boy is it nice. The neck gasket is a little tight, but hell, for 80 bucks, I think I can easily get used to it. If these pop up on SAC again, I'd suggest buying one.

Yeah the RSS feed is actually way too slow. I have it on my google home page and it's not really worth shit if the item is in limited quantities. On sacattack.com you can subscribe to their XMPP (IM protocol) broadcast that IMs you every time a new item shows up. I started doing that after I missed the drytop.

NERD ALERT!: I have pidgin (linux IM program) setup running in my status bar. Since I am at work, instead of popping IMs up to the desktop (possibly embarrassing/incriminating ones from old friends ), I call a script that sends water-like ripples across the desktop emanating from the icon in the status bar. I just hope nothing cool goes on sale while I'm at lunch.

That's some pretty nifty nerdiness. "i call a script" Fkna, I can barely call my own cell phone...
Tried the dry top on, neck gasket's are always tight when new, so no worries. [just be berry berry careful if you decide to trim, can be the quickest way to a ripped gasket].
It's close to too small for me in the XL, so Smo, if the spring comes and the fit's no better, you're first in line for it

Cool. I wonder if it'll fit me. My adams apple hurts just thinking about neck gaskets.

You do realize that the PFD and elbow pads go OUTSIDE the drytop, right?

Oh, so that's why I've got so many holes in the sleeves and back of my old drytop. Well, crap, what am I going to do about this new drytop since it's too big. Maybe I'll use it in a halloween costume this year as a beat up kayaker that took the hardest ride of his life. I'll put cuts and tears in the drytop and put fake blood all over it.
