ALTA/BIRD - PLANNING FIRST TRIP, WHERE TO STAY

We have 8 guys going and are trying to book a place. We are looking for the cheapest way to stay, but w/ 8 i thought we could get a decent condo for not too much. Would it be better for us to get two hotel rooms at the Peruvian Lodge?

I loved staying at the Ramada inn @ salt lake city! Used to be $60.00 a night
with breakfast and 30 min from the bird and 40+ min to Powder mountain. Also your in salt lake city so you can go out party!

If you gonna stay in the canyon I would say the Peruvian in (Spelling?)

ITs a ski in ski out place I Think.

You could all stay in the large dorm on the third floor of the Peruvian. I think it has eight bunk beds. You should call to see if it is available. The price at the Peruvian seems high until you realize that all of your meals are included. The meals are almost worth the price alone. The hot tubs, pool, and bar and the convenience of being right at the lifts without the need for a rental car are nice as well.

I will admit that the Peruvian would be a splurge for those on a tight budget. There are much cheaper accomodations available in Sandy for those willing to eat fast food or go to the grocery store.

I usually stay at a place like Homestead (I think Midvale was cheapest and not a bad drive ) or Extended Stay America (they had great prices roughly $35/night for weekly when I checked a couple years ago) when in SLC. They are geared towards business people who are stay(I've stayed for as low as $35/night at weekly rate). They have a regular size fridge, a stove, microwave, etc so you can save money on food. I'd get a couple rooms for that many people. I'd stay in SLC to save money. I'm just a cheap-skate though. You'd definately have more fun in a condo -- try VRBO.com they have some decent deals if you scour the site and book early. PM me if you want some more specific info. Definately don't pay full price for lift tickets!!!!

The word Gaper is overused Guest
Sneak into the dorm rooms at the U and shack up with some sluts on the gymnastic team. It works everytime.

Yes What Nohillsnearby said. Also forgot to add

    Large indoor Pool
    2 hot tubs
BAR (With super hot Asia bartender...4ish years ago)

All in the center indoor courtyard.

PS Buy your lift tickets at the grocery store. I think the store was called "Smiths"???

With 8 people, I'd stay in 2 rooms at The Cliff Lodge, and live large. I think that it's actually a good deal.
