In need of a cheapo trailer

So I just "inherited" a small 12' aluminum fishing boat...it's a sweet deal 'cause it's free, but I need a trailer for it and can't justify spending $400-700 that the boat dealerships are offering...

I know it's like a needle in a haystack, but if anyone needs to ditch an old rusty trailer that will do the trick, I'd be willing to pick it up and pay a fair price. Anything within 200 miles of Bozeman or anywhere along I-94 into central Minnesota.

I know it hurts at first but that size boat trailer new is $500 or less.
It does not hurt to have a nice new aluminum trailer with fresh wheel bearings, tires, etc. A used one could cost you at least $100 just to get on the road. Couple that with rust and other problems, it could turn into a much more expensive problem than a new one.

I just imagine the trailer letting loose at 55 on the highway- just imagine how much $$ that would cost.

I've had hubs go bad on road trips- it is never fun.

Just size it to the boat yourself. It isn't that hard, and you can save some cash that way.

    Just a thought.

If it lets loose and hits someone, its REALLY going to cost you.
The only thing worse than the feeling that you are going to die is the realization that you probably won't.

Seen it happen- that is why I don't fuck around with cheap trailers.

Prolly not what he wants to hear, though.

If you never plan on going farther than a couple miles- well that is a different story. $500 is a pretty cheap insurance policy.
