Its one thing if you are coming from Co Springs, Pueblo, or arguably even Fort Fun. But if you are coming Boulder or Denver, then they shouldn't even let you sit for the bar if you got a hotel room near there.

was unwilling to risk it; the thought of sharting in the middle of the exam because I ate a plateful of lard-filled beans was a little too scary!

Yeah, last year I had to take it in the hell hole that is Ontario, CA. Nice five-minute walk from the motel to the convention center, not too bad. This is going to be a little more stressful. The 10 minute drive sounds ideal for a little pregame coffee and reflection- enjoy! It's really amazing how quickly it all goes by.

Oh, and if you can get some caffeine-juiced Gu or Powerbar gel, it's not a bad thing to have midway through the afternoon session. If you start feeling at all scrambled, go to the can and power it down, you'll be good as new.

I have a tough time trying to figure out how this is going to help poor rontele pass the bar. But, if he decides to try it, I think jelly or syrup would be a good idea . . . .

Are you going to toss that salad or what? I want to get high.
I hope mom finishes tossing that salad soon, I'm hungry.

    Eating out a butthole.

    Toss my salad, please!

    3. toss the salad

To perform the act of eating out an asshole, usually in prison, with either jelly or syrup.

Holee shit. By the looks of this thread, if TGR is comprised of dentists, Telemarktips is comprised completely of lawyers.

Yes, there is no Mitch to "self-moderate" here. I'm unawares of anyone ever being banned from TGR for posting facts that were inconvenient. TTips can't say the same.

That said there are some interesting people who only contribute to ttips for whatever reasons - be it legacy, they like the vibe, whatever so it's not all bad.

Hi TelemarkTippers! I would like to formally invite all of you to come join our forums at AlpineZone.Com. We are a fun-loving but responsible bunch of skiers who know the benefits of what good moderation brings to an on-line community. The self-titled "maggots" here at TGR tend to be less disciplined sorts who are not well-schooled in a moderated environment. I think most all of you will find that our seasoned moderators "keep the bar high" by maintaining a sense of order and decorum, while encouraging quality discussion about our favorite pastime. It may take a small amount of getting used to, as we do have reasonable standards as far as language and image posting that are strictly enforced. The registration is easy and painless, and the rules will be explained in detail during the process. Come join the fun!

You know the line here. Naked pics of your sister or split, kook! I mean JONG!

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

Whatever. Point being that TGR isn't a total bad-ass moderation-free zone.

So, you are trolling on a website for possible posters from another site that is temporarily down- all in the hopes of boosting visits to your own site? That's kind of lame.

The fact that you have to troll for new users, OTOH, is actually funny. Sad but funny.

    Telemarktips.com/Telemarktalk.com shut down???

‘Telemarktalk.com' Website Shut Down 'Due to Threats'
    By Geoff Johannson
    C-BSNews.com Senior Staff Writer
    July 23, 2007

(C-BSNews.com) - The group of telemarkers that launched a website labeling opponents of telemarking "racists, cowards" and "domestic terrorists" claims to have disabled the site "Due to the threats" from "anti-telemark" individuals.

Local Eastern Sierra resident Mitch and the League of United American Telemark Citizens (LUATC) launched Telemarktips.com and Telemarktalk to criticize opponents of telemarking who are members or affiliates of the ‘Randonee’ style of skiing. Local groups of the Randonee skiers have been photographing and videotaping telemarkers at resorts and backcountry around California and other locations and using the footage to scoff at telemarking as a sport on Youtube, Tetongravityresearch.com, and other internet sites.

LUATC created Telemarktips.com on Dec. 13, 2001, and Telemarktalk.com the next day. Both domain names pointed to the same site, which featured photographs of the Telemarker skiers who participated in the “stylish sport” and identified all other snowports them as, "lockheelers, cowards, un-Americans (sic), un-capable of the telemark turn, [and] domestic terrorists."

As C-BS Service initially report on our website July 20, the plural domain name (Telemarktalk.com) became "temporarily unavailable."

Internet archives show that sometime between 2:20 p.m. (EST) July 20 - LUATC deleted the main website Telemarktips.com, discussions, as well as photographs and accusations from the remaining site.

"Due to threats of violence we have received from the anti-telemark movement who refuse to reveal their identity," the statement on the home page of Telemarktips.com claims, "we are disabling this site!"

Brendon Wilkes, attorney for LUATC, addressed the topic of threats during the interview for C-BS Service's first follow-up article.

"Several of the emails we have received threaten violence," Wilkes said.

He provided examples of "all the un-free thinking email we are getting."

"[The] only way to stem this is to take violent action against telemarketers," wrote one critic who signed his name "Gary Williams" and added, "Yes, that is my real name ... I am NOT a coward like most."

Another, profanity-laced email referred to LUATC as "spastic sons of 3rd world bastards," but contained no threats.

"All that serves to validate our initial impression that the motivation behind this ... the reason why they're getting up that early in the morning to go out there and do this, is based the fact they haven’t yet practiced ‘free the heel and the mind will follow’," Wilkes said.

I'm not sure which is funnier - responding to a well known troll or busting chops for trolling for forum visitors in a conversation about ttips

It's so cruel, really. Tipsters seem like little homeless children abandoned in the darkened and sooty streets of this foreign and strange domain. It's awfully kind of you noble TGR folks to adopt them into your adoring hearts. The humanity is touching.
