when I lived on oahu, diamond head was a great spot to paddle out after work.
Way more locals out than waikiki surf spots and plenny waves for all. Plus, you can hang out up top and watch the action and sip a steinlager.
Good vibes at diamond head for sure.
Ask around if they still do the free movie night on saturday in waikiki on the beach, that's good fun.
Very weird watching "Good Will Hunting" there and missing Boston so much but stuck in paradise Aloha have fun

Thanks W. If you lived there, I take your word for it. When I was there years ago, I was like 12, but started real young, so I was already a rat. That area seemed so crowded back then and zero swell, which doesn't mean crap. I surfed a breakwall in Maui tho, think it was called "breakwall", is it?

Sweet fish foto bro and thanks for the info. Looking into a Natural Art that looks similar, minus the monster single skeg. Thanks again.

I saw this thread and asked a buddy of mine from Brasil... his reply:

It (Itacare) is a very nice place for vacation, specially if you are interested to surf. I've never had the chance to go to Itacare but I know friends that already have been there and they say that the place is great.

It is one of the best places to surf in Brazil. Late November in Brazil is almost summer and the waves are getting smaller at this time of the year but normally they are in good in terms of shape and good for surfing.

See the link of nice place to stay - www.itacarevillage.com.br. I was planning to spend my last vacation on this place but I never made it. You can also take a look at the website of the city: www.itacare.com.br

Other nice place to visit in Brazil is Ilha (Island) de Fernando de Noronha. I can say that this is the best place to surf in Brazil if you go there from late December to March. This is the only place in Brazil that the waves get bigger in the summer. This place is also called as Brazilian Hawaii. The good thing is that it is no only good for surfing but it is great for diving and hiking as well.

Take a look at the website: www.noronha.com.br

If I had to pick one I would go to Noronha but Itacaré is very nice too!

    Hope this helps.

Thanks flatNshallow, apppreciate the info. Still trying to decide where to head this fall. Brasil may wait until another time, but it sure is fun to think about.
