that could be. i was going by what the website says. once it reopens i would guess that only the glacier drags will be open. not really enough terrain to reap the benefits of the pow.

ff- no real epicenter but zermatt and the very southern french alps look like they will get the most. i'd think that cham would do well up high.

I'm seriously considering the 900km(500mile) drive. But i'm not sure yet. Most people over here think i'm crazy, especially after having spend all season over there in Valais.

Bleau was great this last weekend. Was fairly warm at times but generally good conditions. Am always blown away by the consistent quality of the problems

fuck. zermatt opens only the matterhon-bahn, the lift beside this and rothorn tram (thats the info from the tram-office). theodulegletscher should be fun (i've never been there) but i'm afraid of the ähm gletscherspalten (schrunds?).

Skiers right off Furggsattel always seems a pretty safe bet. Skied a bunch there in febuary and saw no tell tale signs of any spalten.

And IF the lifts work, Garten is def spalten free as it's off the glacier!

Considering it, but not sure yet. Besides that, i have to have someone to go with me. Seems most people over here already switched to summer mode .

Am based in Zurich, would drive down, at the moment dont have anyone to ski with as all my usual partners are busy.

Engelberg is also high enough, would also be a bit less driving, no idea how much snow they will get though

It's cold and wet in Leysin.
If freeze line is at 2200m, then life in Zermatt will be good.

Still tempted, might be on early mission.
PM with mobile# if anyone heads to Zermatt.
    Maybe see you there.

5-10cm of fresh at the top of the Bochard (2700m). Rain/Snow limit 2000-2300 today. Nice soft piste for testing new skis

It's supposed to clear tomorrow for a good powder day, having rained here in town all day...

I'm going climbing. Maybe I'm in denial but I thought the season was over. Planning to do another 200m multipitch at Barbarine, woohoo! Bring on summer!

(...but I do hope those of you still psyched on skiing rip up some nice turns.)
